Not blaming refs for probable loss tonight, but in general the multitude of fouls called night after night is killing the game. No flow & at times unwatchable.

Is Ellison one of the players considering transferring?

The number of fouls being called is ruining the college game.

I thought he had turned a corner a few games ago. I think he has potential to be a solid contributor. Just needs to eliminate the boneheaded plays. He's clearly bothered by something right now. Not sure if it's injury or lack of confidence.

What is the sense of putting Frunenberg in he is just gun shy will never shot will most always pass

Defense was offensive
Yes, a lot to be proud regarding the defensive effort and off the boards. We thought the first half was horrendous giving up 54 points but at least we made some adjustments and ratcheted up the effort and held them to a measly 56 in the second half.

Disgusted lets keep thing in perspective from tonite going forward To give up 110 points there is no defense and perhaps they just can't play defense Nice to run but maybe we should have slowed each possession and saved some face This could be the most a st johns team has given up Would not have happen with coachC

Ellison appears to have regressed. Not sure if injury related.
He plays well enough every once in while to give us hope. But, overall he plays lazy and selfishly. From the opening tip, it is just a matter of time until he makes one of his bonehead lazy passes or takes one of his "I'm the man" shots.

He dogs it on transition defense. And, Mullin needs to send him a message.

This may not be very nice to say but I actually hope Ellison and Alibecovig commit early fouls.
Mullin has to want a shot at Butler in the B.E. Tournament. After all, subs get in the game with 44 seconds remaining.
Freudenberg gets in at the end of the game and probably has the best box out of Martin. Yet Alibecovig gets mucho playing time. Please don't tell me he is there to rebound.
Did Yakwe have more then one rebound? He is so weak boxing out but that's not news.
We were completely outhustled for 50 - 50 balls along with rebounds.
Mussini's best game, hustled all over the court. Deserved the minutes tonight.
After a steal it's time for Ponds to stop slowing down allowing the defensive man to catch up and block his shot.

Quick check of the record book shows the most points given up by a St. John's team was a 113-97 loss to Syracuse in 1965. Yup, Coach C. Guess we should have canned his butt right there... ;)

Pretty impressive to give up 113 with no three point shot and no shot clock. I would have liked to have read the post game quotes from the fans about the defense played that night. :)
