Players have been unhappy with the coaching all year. And from what I see I can't blame them.

There's coaching and there's teaching and then there's pulling guys and screaming at them. Some of those things are productive and some are not. Also some players can handle a certain style and some can't.

Pitino is clearly in the mode of "if you don't like it, that's your problem, you can leave and I'll get someone tougher than you who will do what I want."

Not an awesome way to make players feel valued and get the most out of them. And if you want to win games you're going to need those players.

The proof is in the results: he's gotten the most out of Zuby. RJ is RJ. Who else do you think he has maximized the ability and productivity of? My answer is nobody - and to the contrary he's managed to do a lot of damage to the production of players who should be key elements of his team.

The vibe from my spot a few rows back has been bad all year and I can absolutely understand why.

true…but assuming all 5 should have hit…6 of 23 would have elevated us to just bad shooting.
I hope you’re right that the law of averages will work its magic….we’ll be due to see 40% shooting for several games.

I look at it like a fighter training for a fight. The trainer must have their fighter peak right before the fight. If he is peaking early, they shut him down and build him up again.

This is a good team that has not come close to peaking yet. I am confident it will, but unlike last season, they will peak and roll into the NCAA tournament.
 
Some random thoughts regarding the game:

*Vince played 1 minute because he forced 2 shots in that minute. Pitino was right to pull him.
*There is no way Ayo is 16 minutes better than Glover but something is not impressing Pitino in practices.
*Shooting 1-21 is a humongous aberration of our 3 point shooting ability. Both Simeon and Luis are better than today's stats. Hence, there is reason to stay positive.
*Brady Dunlap was missed today.......even he can shoot better than 4%😜
*The biggest dilemma is how does Pitino motivate Kadary? He needs either a jolt of enthusiasm or random drug tests. This kid is a shadow of himself during his first three years of college. Not a good look for Pitino on the development end of the game but he may be helpless with the NIL b.s. KD needs to sit in longer stretches while playing Smith and Wilcher.
