Butler, Sat., Jan. 4 , 2p, FS-1

I'm fully in the "do not show up your opponent" camp, but that said I did not have an issue with the Wilcher dunk attempt. To me it was an obvious attempt to hype up the crowd and put an exclamation point on a win on Carnesecca day. Not a jab at the opponent. And this is from someone who typically wants the players to just run the clock out. But that's just my view.
What? it was a horrible look, plus he was laughing on the sideline after he missed.

I think at this point it is probably fair to say that we're not as good offensively as many of us thought we would be. However, in fairness it is also true that we are probably better on defense and on the boards than we thought we might be.

Defense and rebounding will keep you in games, but the way we shoot we may have to win a lot of ugly games like today.

Let’s all stay on topic and allow the mods to handle other posters. Thanks in advance

This is helpful. On TV, it appeared that Butler had stopped even passive defending, the crowd was egging Sim on and he took the bait. Foolish move that looked even worse with the showboat attempt and miss. I figured he'd hear about it from Pitino and it sounds like he did. I'm willing to write that one off as a "teaching moment."

A win is a win, but we need someone that can shoot the 3 badly. 6 for 48 in conference play! 12.5%! That is about as bad a 3 game stretch from 3 as I have ever heard, and miraculously we won 2 of those 3 games. Gotta find an answer
That’s what gives me hope. It’s not going to stay like that. The law of averages will kick in at some point

But like you said. A win is a win. I’m happy today

I really enjoyed the BET last year and was really excited coming into this season. It’s been a bit of a disappointment to date and today was frustrating and not unexpected. I hope they can get this moving in the right direction.
Considering the seasons Spurs, the Jets and the Isles are having, I’ll take 12-3, 3-1 BE at this time. It’s all I really have to hang my hat on (besides Spurs maybe nicking an English or Europa trophy).

I've only used the Ignore button for 1 poster. (Bet that poster feels honored).
But it still shows them posting just hides the content. Wish it just didn't show them at all but alas.

I think its always been a bit of a cesspool. But when we were bad there was a certain tone. Now that we arent bad its a much different vibe.
It would be freaking hilarious if there was a column of site leaders in being blocked in descending order 😀

"Obvious win", huh? As I said the other day, there is no such thing as an obvious win at St John's
It's about time that CRP accepts the fact that this team can't shoot from outside for __ __ it!!
IMO, nobody on this team should be allowed to shoot a 3 unless you are unguarded and have time to set your feet
If you violate and miss, you come out on the next dead ball
Kudos to Kadary for coming to life down the stretch but he looked totally disinterested for the first 35 minutes
Sim looks like he has lost confidence in himself. Enough said about his antics at the end. Total bush league move!!
This team needs to regroup and play to our strengths if we are going anywhere this season
This was a very poorly played game. Had we played a better opponent, the results would have surely been different
