Bubble Watch

The new bracket matrix came out for today and we're in 75% of brackets (85/113), the 2nd to last team in. Too lazy to count em but just eyeballing it it looks like we're in about 85-90% of the brackets that were updated today.

The first two teams out are Utah and Colorado. Both of them go on the road tomorrow and Saturday to the Oregon schools. Hopefully Oregon can sweep them. Colorado really has a chance to play themselves in. If they sweep the Oregon trip they get the 3 seed in the P12 tourney. That means they would draw 2 seed Wazzu in the semis which would be a huge resume booster for Colorado and a game in which Colorado might be small favorites.

After that there are really no threats to jump in barring a team like Providence or Iowa going on massive runs and beating UConn or Purdue level teams in their conf tournies.

Then root for FAU and Dayton to win their conf tournies and no other bid stealers.

Make it to Friday of the BET and we're in. Lose Thursday and it'll be hairy.
You guys are nuts, I can't worry about all these games, way to much.

If we get the bye in the BET, and we beat SHU and give UConn a good game, I gotta think that seals it for us.

It's interesting to read though.

3/7 Bubble watch

Rutgers > Wisconsin ( Wisconsin seems locked but might have to be careful if they lose this game and Purdue will be 18-13 and 2-8 in last 10)

Oregon > Colorado
Utah > Oregon State

Wondering if Creighton beats Nova at Philly Saturday, will that drop Nova’s NET above 30 and we lose quad 1 wins?
I think it's very possible. If Nova then goes 1-1 in the BET it will be very close. We also dropped 2 spots. DePaul not very helpful. Georgetown might be a little better in terms of NET if we have a convincing win.

Let's face it we all LOVE  beating Georgetown and Cooley, so tie the laces tight boys, beat 'em by 30!

Don't let up like at the end of the DePaul Game.

A big margin of victory may make the difference.

The Garden should be rockin' after 4 straight impressive wins and Pitino challenging the fans.

“We’ll find out a little bit about our fans on Saturday, because we need a great crowd,” the Hall of Fame coach said. “We’ve got to win that game. We’ll see how the Johnnies turn out on Saturday.”

I agree, everything is right there in front of us now. No more excuses. Go out and win two more games and we’re in. If we can’t do that then we don’t deserve it and I can’t be worried about it at that point.

If we win our BET opener it won't matter where Nova ends up.
after watching Hall vs Nova... im starting to second guess my "I want the 5 seed" mindset...

Some squads are just Not a good matchup for a certain team... could Seton Hall be our kryptonite?

I firmly believe we need to make it to Friday night to feel "safe" on Sunday... does Creighton/Marq offer a better avenue to get there...? we would need to win atleast two games finishing 6th

Was thinking this last night as well. I think ultimately it's going to be Seton Hall on Thursday afternoon and I think we can beat them but their style and I have to give Shaheen Holloway a lot of credit gives us problems. Marquette even if they are missing Kolek is still just as tough a game. Creighton is an extremely talented team but they could be our best match up. Anyway we have to beat Georgetown on Saturday for any of this to matter so I am not going to worry until then.
