Bryant, Wed., Dec. 11, 7p, CBSSN

Finally watched the game as I didn’t get to see it live.

My only concern is the “slow” starts. No reason to leave teams around early. First half and second half were night and day. Why? Against better competition you could dig a hole you can’t get out of. Hopefully the team and staff figure it out.
Pitino loves that long bench. Gonna cost us. We're a solid 6 deep. Remember that come conference play.

Every P5 school has these "worthless" games. Not every school has taken care of business in this part of the schedule like we have. As others have said, let's just enjoy the ride.
And I do expect all BE games this season to be a dog fight. So while poor starts may be a concern, as long as we outlast our opponents with strong finishes (unlike the CMA era) to 13 wins, we'll be good.
Don't see 13 getting it done.

Richmond knows the next step is the draft. I certainly don’t know for sure, but I expect him to step up to the plate when it matters most. He should know what’s at stake. It sucks, but such is the nature of the beast nowadays.

I missed most of the game unfortunately but gat dayum that dunk from Smith. I knew he could jump but that was something.
After 10 games and 2 exhibition games, there was a play I believe in the second half that has epitomized his season. A Bryant player fell to the floor after a ball while Smith it seemed just watched.

Hopefully, starting to Tuesday night, he excels on the open floor

I don’t understand the need for substitution after the first media timeout. Yesterday Ayo came in. Why? I am not against playing the bench, but only after gaining control.

The second half started what I consider his better players and did not sub at the first T O. We were able to establish a comfortable lead and then he subbed. Most coaches follow this pattern.

I think Devion has to start. The team seems to play better with his style. I understand Kadary gets the big bucks, but his style hasn’t caught on. Kadary walks it up, they run that stupid weave where everybody gets a touch and then look to attack.

Disappointed in his man defense. Numerous blow byes for layups. Ouch.

Sim played well. Don’t understand where he got the beer muscles.

Now the real season comes. If we play with intensity we should do well, if we don’t …..

Still gonna cost us. Russian roulette is no way to coach.
He’s trying to develop players and create a deeper team. There will come a time during the season , whether it be foul trouble, injuries, OT games where guys foul out, that you’re going to need to go deeper into your bench. These need to get some real game experience if they’re going to be able to help us when those situations arise.

So Pitino must have written off Maker in pre-season workouts!

Richmond is slow, lazy, can't shoot past 10 feet, can't finish at the rim, is a turnover machine, and plays lousy defense. He throws more bad passes than good passes. Other than that he's an all-American candidate to some. Our starting backcourt should be Smith and Wilcher, the forwards should be Scott and Luis with Zuby at Center. If you have to start Richmond, it should be at a forward position. But he has not earned the right to start over Scott or Luis. He is definitely not worth whatever his NIL amount is.

I have to agree with this from what I have seen so far. We are missing one good player.

We are wearing teams out by second half. So maybe the subs are helping achieve that while keeping our guys fresh.
Disappointing that Kadary and Deivon have not meshed so far. If one has to sit I prefer Devin off the bench. He speeds up the game.
Agree Kadary should play some forward
We will start to see zones in conference play. Kadary is lethal against the zone.

Our two biggest rivals in the Big East go 9 deep. Depth is a big plus even if a couple of the guys only play 7-10 mpg.
