Unfortunately I don't believe Al was being harsh but rather speaking the truth.
I fully agree with everything else you wrote and I hope that I too am wrong.
I'm not disputing yours and other's opinions on Khadary's play but I just can't bring myself to disparage a kid or call him lazy. I'll leave that for coach to do in a closed practice or 1 on 1.

Again, not saying you can't say that stuff but it just doesn't feel right to me to say those things about our own guys. I guess I turn a blind eye.

His persona on the court is what it has always been if you've watched him in the past, and I watched him a decent amount, especially last year. My friends who root for the Hall say the same thing. Even last year he had spells of inconsistency, and this is the most talented roster he's ever played with where he doesn't just have the ball all the time. Ultimately, Pitino doesn't mess around. That's the only judge I care about.

Let’s mark all these anti Kadary posts for future reference. 😎😎 time will tell.

Yes. He was ill. Not his fault. Also horribly misused by Anderson.
He was a poor fit here for what Anderson wanted to do, not dissimilar to Soriano with Pitino. Or arguably Dingle with Pitino. Sometimes the fit is just wrong despite the potential production

Our two biggest rivals in the Big East go 9 deep. Depth is a big plus even if a couple of the guys only play 7-10 mpg.
I don’t think it’s that Devion and Khadary haven't meshed, I think the problem is that the two can’t co exist well on the court together as both need the ball to be effective. (Can you say Posh and Curbelo?) my question is why is Rick so much harder on Devion then Khadary? It’s seems pretty obvious who is not just playing/shooting better but who has a greater impact on the team.

It could be this simple:

This is not a fair comparison. Neither Devon nor Kadary can juggle and they both hate popcorn. But there still merit to your point.

Wrong as usual. Kadary can play with anyone. His unselfishness actually rises to a weakness many games. You let either guy get something in secondary transition before the defense sets up...once they are set, let Deivon get first crack at something quick. If one of them has a favorable matchup, let them cook. If everything is even, Kadary late in the shot clock is the better option -- as Devion can space the floor better with his shooting and Kadary is so good at drawing defenders for fouls or kicks to open shooters.

Fans need to get over the fact that Kadary doesn't need shots to impact a game. He doesn't look like your typical superstar. RJ Luis is also the best player on this team and Zuby plays out of his mind at times. We don't need an alpha scorer to win. We need someone to set the table, get to the basket to draw fouls, and rebound.
Nothin materialized the first 20 seconds of the shot clock- you rather have Kadary or RJ go to work?

Kadary with the ball by a mile. Luis I like when he's balanced and getting his within the flow. I don't love him creating. I think Luis in the low post is one of the best looks in basketball.

Kadary has received the unfriendliest whistle I've ever witnessed through 10 games. He draws everyone to him.

I kinda see Smith as a poor man's Iverson; ok, a very poor man's Iverson.

Smith plays the game at su h a different speed that he gets up and down the court at breakneck speed. He can throw down an alley oop or a putback that had you thinking it must have been Luis or Zuby. He draws such attention that assists to wide open teammates pile up.

I haven't looked at turnovers but subsequently his mistakes become glaring at times. Generally makes good decisions but not always.

Khadary, as you say, doesn't need points to be effective. He rebounds, passes, and can take the ball to the hoop using his strength and body control. I'm with you on this one.
