BRACKETOLOGY, RPI, SOS

That kid is a freaking player...terrible. Fredette got all the attention, but I remember thinking there is no way they win without Collinsworth playing grossly out of position. I always felt that it's not fair for the NCAA to factor injuries in, but they do and they have always done so. He is hands down their best player, and this will likely cost BYU a spot. Just awful for the sport.

He isn't their best player, and I think they might still get in.

Fordham could really help us tomorrow, send Dayton packing and help our RPI at the same time

That would be great! A loss to Fordham would kill their RPI. Georgia Tech has a more realistic shot at helping us by beating 19-11 Clemson tomorrow. Both would be welcome.

Biggest game might be Minnesota v. Penn State. A loss would put Minny out of consideration with and 18-13 record and eight losses in the last twelve games.

I was just looking through the A-10 teams' schedules and they have a bunch of teams with 20+ wins. But the conference leaders St. Louis and VCU haven't played anyone worth mentioning.

These guys like Rothstein and Borzello have been spewing out nonsense that the A-10 should get 6 bids.

It's nonsense.

Dayton's resume is actually impressive.

But if the A-10 gets more bids than the BE, it's a travesty. The bottom half of their league is sub .500.

SOS should flesh this stuff out. That's why I've kept saying that looking at win totals shouldn't be part of the equation. 20 Big East wins >>>> 24 A-10 wins.

It's not even up for debate.

I'd be curious how many A-10 teams Lunardi has in right now.

6.

Six, with Dayton and St Joes hanging on by a thread.
UMASS is still riding on their hot start to the year, they've been sub par down the stretch. St Louis and VCU are the only teams I think can win a game in the tournament, the other four teams are not that good. The A10 is on soooo much where I live, and I've come away underwhelmed with every game I've watched.

Well then this is being weighed with different standards.

VCU's biggest win (outside of knocking off SLU at home) was beating Virginia at the start of the season. That's it. They lost to Georgetown. SLU biggest win was against VCU.

The conference is weak top to bottom.

This is crazy.

I'd urge everyone to take a look at what those A-10 teams have done this year. Biggest conference win is George Washington beating Creighton.

If they get 4 bids, we should have 4 at the minimum and 5 at most.

Yeah, wow, I completely spaced on Haws. Still, Collinsworth is such an important player...might be their best defender--he can defend nearly anyone-- kills it on the glass, passes well, shoots well...always under control...does it all. We'd be an Elite Eight team with him.

These Mormon missions have be completely confused on BYU's team. I thought Collinsworth was a senior since he played way back with Fredette...but he took a two year mission in between? And Haws as well? Man, that team would have been sick if Haws waited a year to take his mission. Fredette and a soph Haws with Collinsworth and Jackson Emory? And if Davies didn't knock that girl up! As much as I love redshirts, I should be coachign BYU! Two year missions...yes, please.

Hoyas on the ropes. If somehow Washington state can beat Stanford we are in great position

WSU and Stanford tied up. Stanford sucks. They can't defend and they are letting this kid clean the offensive glass three straight possessions. WSU is pretty bad..Sheldon is the only one doing anything and it's coming off missed shots by others. We need this!

This kid Shelton is something else. Single-handedly keeping an undermanned WSU in it. He cleans up every miss. 5 offensive boards this half for putbacks! WSU can't buy a made shot. God I hate Pointer so much after seeing this kid.
