UCONN still plays D-1 hoops somewhere, correct?? Are they in the ACC with Duke, etc?
Honest approach;
@jrwald7: Richard Pitino on the radio just said #Gophers prob need at least 2 wins in Big Ten tourney to be guaranteed an NCAA bid.

Penn State beating them tonight would help our RPI and help our bubble situation. The game is on ESPNU tonight at 6:30 I believe if any of you wanna watch.
The expert on Cbs sports network( sorry didnt catch his name) has Prov in, Gtown first 4 out- STJ nowhere to be found. Puzzling, as Gtown played the same conference schedule and won 8, and STJ won 10.

Definitely Palm...That POS hasn't given us any recognition all year long. I don't even read his garbage anymore.

We could go 28-3
Georgetown could go 1-30
Georgetown would be ahead of us according to those cbs analysts if that one Georgetown win was over a Michigan State team. CBS has the biggest love affair with the big ten, and that's why they consider Georgetown ahead of us on the bubble. It's just the way it is, and is why I don't listen to their opinions. You can't trust what they say because they are biased individuals who pretend they know what they are talking about.

I know , just doesnt make sense they have 8 conference wins. But to be honest I think they will make the finals of the BE tourney.

If they do they might get Lavin his 5 BE teams.

I agree, but to have them listed as first 4 out NOW , is plain dumb.
Other than Nova and Creighton, Georgetown has the best resume of the rest of the mediocrities in the Big East. Look at the comparative records of Xavier, Providence, SJU and Georgetown against top 25 and top 50 competition.
Georgetown's problem is that they don't have quite enough wins. However if they get to 19 then they have a better case than SJU or Providence at 22. That's why every analyst has them in better position than SJU or Providence and close to Xavier.
IMO the BE could go anywhere from 2-4 teams. Xavier needs one win, SJU, Providence and Georgetown all need 2. If none of the four second-level teams get what they need, it ought to be a 2-bid league (though the NCAA might have to take another one just because they have to fill the field).
I think it will come down to whether SJU or Providence can knock off Nova. I'm predicting Georgetown to march to the finals and Xavier to flame out. That would ultimately make the league bids Nova, Creighton, and Georgetown. Add SJU or Providence if one of them beats Nova.
