BRACKETOLOGY, RPI, SOS

some people have beaten cancer with lower odds.
Maybe some people will be shocked tomorrow.
Unfortunately I think the only way I'll be shocked tomorrow is if I stick my finger in the electric socket.

I've already resigned myself to a wasted season. After the way we choked I dont even think we deserve a bid so at least I wont be choking on my sunday dinner yelling that we got robbed. We screwed ourselves

Not sure who these guys are but they think we should go dancing. Good for them.
I'd say a prayer if that would help. But slim chance is better than none I suppose. And maybe WE can be a team that people will say that has no business being in the field. 5 bids be a huge boost for big east. Speaking of, Espn can't stop taking shots at the big east, can they?

Looking at their NIT bracket to see who might bump us, only Dayton and BYU stand out. Otherwise, SMU from top heavy AAC? Arkansas from a weak SEC? Minnesota with 19 wins?

Providence winning the BET helps us. At this point, all we can do is hope and pray.

If we do get an invite, I could see us at that classic 5-12 bracket with us being the 12 seed. If this team has the desire, which is questionable, you would not want to play them as a 12 seed. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

After Wednesday's loss, I'd resigned myself to knowing we are going to the NIT. I think 21% chance is even too high.

I think we are so far away that CBS doesn't even list us as "teams on the bubble" during the selection show.

It is what it is. We were the 5th best team in our conference, which is exactly where we were projected to finish. Meaning, we didn't underachieve, and we didn't overachieve.

We are clearly not there yet, which is very frustrating, but is a fact we have to deal with.

If I didn't walk away several years ago, I'm definitely not walking away now. Being a St. John's fan has an eerie similarity to marriage. %-)

Awesome clip! Sums us up well.

Dumb and dumber, the story of two St. John's fan.

Isn't that what we used to say about ourselves during the Mahoney era as we went to every single home game and watched the lady knit?

Look at us umpteen years later. Still dumb and dumber. Maybe now we are the dumbest?

The fact that fans are still considering that we might be selected is totally blowing my mind.

Broke and satisfied only a couple of times per year...

Obviously a fellow married man and SJU fan!

See, both institutions are eerily similar.

Also that feeling of optimism that things will turn around soon and "satisfaction" will be much more regular like in the glory days. Yet, it never happens.

Marriage and St. John's basketball.
