Tennessee pounded Vanderbilt and Missouri is pounding Mississippi State. It would be nice to go out and pound DePaul.

Agreed, but being senior day I'm guessing Marco, Gift and Orlando all start. Do you guys think coach gives them more minutes tomorrow? I hope not

Utah (RPI: 94) beat Colorado (RPI: 26)

Bucknell won again which helps our RPI.

not getting much help from other teams in the bubble department today....still think 21 wins gets us in.

I feel like many others on this board do that 22 is a lock. I still think we can get there. We can beat DePaul and Marquette, then we should be able to win 2 games in the Big East Tournament on our home floor.

22 wins would make us a lock.

getting wins in big east tournament will not be easy. our first game will be against xavier, marquette or providence. with nova or creighton likely looming in the next round.

I agree with you but a game against Xavier or PC can be good on our resume if we win. Xavier would be in the NCAAs and a Top 50 win for us which we have 1 of so far and a 2-1 record against PC would be good for us in front of the selection committee.

At this point we will have to win games against whoever we play because we have put ourselves on the outside of the bubble looking in. Games against quality teams are much needed at this point.

I, probably wouldn't wanna play Marquette in the Big East Tournament, if we beat them in the last regular season game. They'll have the factor of us just recently beating them, and the odds of beating them 3 times in one season. That is the reason why I wouldn't particularly mind if we played Xavier or Villanova again. Those two match up with us, but I feel it'll be tough for them to beat us 3 times this season. If a team is just flat out better, then 3 times really isn't a problem. IMO, we're not too far off from each of those teams.

Of course, it'll be tough, but I still feel we can get two wins in the Big East Tournament, regardless of the opponent.

21 wins can still get us in, but 22 would probably make us a lock. A bunch of bubble teams had wins today, but the good news is, we're getting help today, with a bunch of bubble teams losing:

Richmond, LSU, Minnesota and Cal all lost so far

IMO Kentucky should be an nit team. I don't care what their rpi is. They have played a tough schedule but only 1 really quality win. 11-5 in a terrible sec is not impressive. Change the team name to a non blue blood and they aren't an ncaa team.

Oklahoma State picking up a signature win over Kansas. That hurts.

They aren't out of the woods yet. They still have a losing conference record (7-9) with games versus K-State and at Iowa State. So, they could end up with a losing conference record. Teams have gotten in with a losing, conference record, but I'll still take my chances. They might get some leeway because Smart was suspended a few games, but they also stunk it up with Smart in the lineup.

I was hoping Okie State would lose, but they aren't quite in the clear. So, I'm not sure that truly hurt.

Does anyone know how the tiebreakers work for the BET when multiple teams are involved? Based on Xavier's win over Creighton yesterday, it would seem like we can no longer be the 3 seed in the BET. The best we can end up is 10-8 and the worst Xavier can end up is 10-8 but they swept us. I'm just not sure what happens if 3 or more teams end up 10-8.

Seed list (CAPs=AQ): 01-ARIZ, 02-FLA, 03-WICH, 04-KAN; 05-Cuse, 06-Duke, 07-Wisc, 08-UVA; 09-NOVA, 10-MICH, 11-Creigh, 12-IowaSt.

Only 3 BE teams.
Obviously have to win out.

The first criteria would be head to head record for tie breaker,Xavier is 2 and 0 against us. So if we end up w same BE record, they will be the higher seed.

Wonder where marquette would be on the bubble if they win

If we go 1-1 in our last two we will be a six seed i think and play Xavier, ouch.

If we go 2-0 we should snag the five seed and play either Marquette or providence.

Overall, I really want the five because after the Creighton loss yesterday the # 1 seed will most likely be nova. If we can win the #4/#5 we would have a shot to get into the tournament by beating a nova team that would still be in the top ten hopefully.

And, I really want nova again,I feel if we play a third time we win, but I don't feel the same way about playing Xavier again I don't know why.
