Looks like DePaul will pull this one out, not a good loss at all for Cooley.

The good new about DePaul winning is this probably means no Q4 loss on St. John's resume.  Worst losses now will be Marquette at home (Q3) and DePaul at home (Q3).

Wow, and I thought Providence winning would help us more, but maybe avoiding a Q4 loss is even better.

Posted this in the wrong place, but Cooly is so classless!  Sore loser!

No class walk off by Cooley.

Left before the whistle blew.

Even their asst. coach went over to congratulate Leitao.

A sore loser.... probably pissed that he didn't take the Michigan job.

You mean the guy that throws his team under the bus after every loss and complains about who wins freshman of the week awards in January doesn't take losing well?  Shocked!

Wow, DePaul pulled off quite an upset. It shows how dangerous a team with nothing to lose can be.

It would be a complete shocker if they beat Connecticut. But anything is possible in basketball. Although a DePaul win seems very unlikely.

Give credit to the DePaul players, who fought hard.  But DePaul's run ends against UConn.

Xavier laid a big egg against Butler.   I think butler gives Creighton a tough game and might pull it out, but I think it'll be Creighton at the end.

I also like Georgetown to keep it close against Villanova, but Nova will prevail.

In our game, if Seton Hall can sustain effectively pounding the ball inside it could be a long afternoon for the Johnnies.  But I think our style of disruptive and aggressive  play will once again dispirit Seton Hall and we advance.

No question which is marquee BET matchup today! We've gotten some great press over the last week. Need to live up to our laurels today. Let's go JOHNNIES!!! Forty minutes of hell this afternoon, let's put the "what the hell" aside for this one!

Looks like the 1st round winners at least get some time to recover.  Remember SJU finishing late at night and playing like the next morning.

9 PM game on Wednesday, noon on Thursday.  The schedule is a lot more forgiving for the bottom-tier teams now that we aren't one of them.

I agree generally with MM52's analysis, except I think Georgetown beats Nova.  I hope they don't.  But I think they do.

I am very much on the fence too about this game.  I only chose Nova because I find it hard to believe, until I see it, that Georgetown has in it 2 good games in a row.

Villanova is also without Justin Moore who seriously sprained his ankle. Caleb Daniels is the only other guard on the roster who plays significant minutes. Georgetown could win this one if it gets ugly.

Blair on G'town has a funny shooting motion.  He shoots jump shots from his chest. He's successful with it....but it would seem easy to block.

Georgetown didn't exactly protect the ball in the first half (7 turnovers in the 1st half), but Villanova shot like crap from the perimeter in the first 20 minutes (3-19 behind the arc).

If 'Nova's poor shooting from deep continues in the second half, then they're likely gonna find themselves in trouble.

As someone else said, this is effectively a "play in" game.

Play in implies the winner gets a bid and I don't think that's true at all.  But it definitely is a play out game.
