Hard to believe that in 15 minutes of play, they've scored 14 points and only trail by 10.

I take it back 32-14 at the half. Ugly, ugly game.

This game is showing (as if anyone needed more evidence) that Ewing can coach and Wojo cannot.  Embarassing for Marquette to make so little out of so much talent.

Well said.  I had Marquette winning this game and beating nova.  They are a complete embarrassment right now.

I'm still skeptical that it's actually Ewing coaching and more likely Louie Orr honestly.  Maybe that's just me.

Orr was an excellent hire, and I think he probably has a fair amount to do with the game planning.  But Patrick is an excellent in-game coach and obviously an outstanding teacher of big men.  He isn't a Mullin-esque figurehead by any means.

Marquette gets solid recruits, transfers every year but the "chef" can't cook.

Go sit in the corner. Shame!

After this game the Marquette board is going to light up like a Christmas tree!

What an abysmal performance by the Golden Eagles.

And I believe he has another very good class coming in again next year.

This is some of the ugliest basketball that I have ever seen.

I agree, as I didn't think Georgetown actually played well (maybe, they did during the last few minutes when the game was practically over).

I intended to post this here, as it's related to the Big East Tournament.....

I don't want Georgetown to beat Villanova, so when we win it'll be in our best interest to play and beat 'Nova from an NCAA Tournament standpoint.  But I'm sorta on the fence as to who wins tomorrow in the G'town/'Nova game.

I know regular season doesn't always predict the future, but the Hoyas played Villanova tough in both games with 'Nova, from what I recall, at full strength.  Now 'Nova is down two key players could make this a seriously, potential upset.

If I was Jay Wright, I'd mix up a ton of zone with a touch of man.  They'll likely get spanked on the boards, but it'll affect Georgetown from going down low and getting easy bucket attempts and protect against foul trouble.  If the Hoyas protect the ball and 'Nova is off from the perimeter then an upset could be on the horizon.

Georgetown kicked some ass today. Villanova better dig deep tommorow or  they'll get smoked too.

I'm not relishing a potential SJ vs Georgetown semi-final. Especially if GT is coming off 2 impressive wins. Momentum can be almost impossible to stop.

There's a lot at stake Thursday. Seton Hall can't be overlooked. I'd really love seeing the Johnnies beat them twice in 5 days.

Congrats to Ewing on getting his first Big East tournament win (0-3 prior to this). I personally still don't think he's as great a coach as many on this board feel he is, but he certainly appears to be way better than Mullin.

In four seasons, Ewing's record is 58-58, 26-44 in Big East games. No post season wins. If he was our coach he would have long ago been run out of town with those stats. Didn't people want to run CMA out of town THIS year?

Side note, are there actually "fans" at these games? The angles on TV don't show the areas where fans would be sitting.
