Big East Tourney

Totally agree with you, Room 112.  I don't think either team is any good and just shows you how lacking our conference is this season.

Sorry, I respect Ewing but I can't root for Georgetown.  I had a feeling they'd beat the Hall.  Seton Hall are frauds.  Again, I'll puke if the Hoyas win this tournament and receive an automatic bid.

UConn poses a bigger threat, so go UConn!

No offense to coach and posh, but if gtown wins the Big East tourney, they should both hand over their awards to Ewing/Harris respectively.

Never understood why these awards arent given out until after the BET.
Because those are regular season awards as they should be.  The tournament has its own awards.

I'm not gonna lie, I hated Patrick growing up, but he's coaching his ass off the last 3 nights. The guy bleeds Hoya blue and you have to respect what he's done despite of all the drama going on the Hilltop.

I think I'd rather see Ewing finish this off than see UConn fans get to say they ran through our conference tournament in their first season back. So I'll be on the Hoyas bandwagon tomorrow night for sure.

plus, even though #33 was before my time... I still had a poster of him on the wall in my room growing up. Knicks legend. I wouldn't mind seeing him get this done

Georgetown wins their 3rd tournament game. 66-58
They've got momentum and should do well in the final.

Lavin really is damn good on the postgame crew. Gotta give him major props. He's better than most of the scrubs ESPN trots out

Jack, as a fellow Knick fan who saw the 70s championship teams and the Patrick almost championship teams, Patrick always made you proud as he left it all on the floor and I root for him against anyone but us. He works as hard as anyone and deserves success.

Ewing continues to impress. Mass transfers a year ago now he's in the title game w a stacked class coming in
I dunno, don't see it that way at all. This is a senior heavy team, and next year is looking like a rebuild for Georgetown. Don't forget they still finished under .500 in the Big East. This is an awesome run they are on in the Big East tourney, but just have to keep it honest here.

He's speaking the same way he did when he coached St. John's and used to drive our fans crazy with his interviews lol. That being said, definitely well suited for being an analyst.

Georgetown's two best players are Sophomore (Wahib) and frosh (Harris) and they have a great recruiting class coming in.
Next year they will be picked in the top half of the league w/o question.

To be fair we kinda gotta separate the Anti Lavin People. Then separate us Pro Lavin guys but in between I think people were genuinely fair other than us outliers

To be fair the use of metaphors and nicknames is a lot more tolerable when he's in the booth lol.

I was in high school for the majority of the Lavin tenure and I still think I got a couple gray hairs every time he mentioned us "sharing the sugar" or Dom Pointer being a "Swiss army knife" lol

Two best players? 4 of their top 5 scorers are seniors. Harris isn't even in the top 5. I don't see how they're picked in the top half of the league with what they've got returning.

Are you really touting Dante Harris, who shot 34% (!!!!) from the field this year???

Wahab will be the best big man in the league and Harris one of the better point guards next year. We will see who is right, but I will be very surprised if Gtown is not picked by the BE coaches in the top 5 of BE teams next year in pre-season polls (#21 recruiting class nationally).
And yes, I am touting Harris. He passes my eye test and he clearly improved a lot as the year wore on which happens with freshman (witness his games against Nova & tonight)

Where's Golden Leaf when you need him, lol?  I come from a different era.  I respect Ewing as a player and as a coach being he's doing a solid job in the Big East Tournament.  But I can't root for Georgetown.  My dislike for Georgetown doesn't outweigh my dislike for UConn.  It's not even close.

The Hoyas are doing a solid job, but like Room 112 stated, it's been somewhat a fluky run.  The stars have aligned.

Love Lavin as commentator, but can't stand seeing him in a suit and pair of Adidas sneakers three days straight.

Creighton dodges a UConn bullet.
Thank god, UConn/Gtown final would be my worst nightmare.

I have to say, after that tough loss yesterday, I'm happy that two teams (and coaches) I really dislike, SH and Pukon lost tonight.

I don't care who wins the championship at this point.  Just thinking about what could have been.......
