If we did manage to win against the Hall, can't see us beating GT the way they've been playing. Would've probably been worse knowing that winning that game would get a bid.
"Styles make fights."  I'm still a believer we could've and would've gotten 'em to play our style of game.  That's not to actually say we would've won, but I think we would've drawed 'em into playing our style which, of course, benefits us.

Wait until a mid-major like Loyola of Chicago wreck Georgetown next week in the dance.....
they're gonna be 13-12 after this. They won't be seeing a mid major. They'll be seeing probably a 3 or 4 seed in the first round
Being Georgetown is coming from a major conference, they won't be seeded that low.  Major conference teams do not receive 12 seeds or lower.

The lowest I see them seeded is around 11th and the highest being a 9th.  They could see a mid major like Loyola of Chicago, as I think they'll be a 7th seed.
There is no way they will be a 7 seed. Uconn won the big east  tourney in 2011 and they are way better than this Georgetown team and had a better season and they were a 9 seed in the NCAA tourney.
Loyola of Chicago will likely be a 7th seed.  Read again, my man.

I'd be very shocked if GTown is anything higher than an 11 or 12.

being from a major conference doesn't guarantee anything. I remember watching a documentary about the 2008 Georgia Bulldogs who won their conference tournament despite being pretty bad. They ended up getting a 14 seed.

now they were much worse than Georgetown but still I don't see how the Hoyas at 13-12 can get a 9 or 10. even in this weird Covid season. I guess we will see

You can only use Georgia as it's extremely rare for major conference teams to receive seeds that low.  The committee allot those seeds for mid majors.  The bubble is also weak this season, so if I had to pick a seeding or two, I'll say Georgetown will be an 11th (at best) or 12th seed (at worst).

Not only did we lose to them but they embarrassed us. Sometimes a team that relies on the three point shot has a bad shooting night they just don't have enough talent in the other phases of the game and they look terrible.

Could u imagine being a 3 or 4 seed and having to play georgetown in the 1st round???????????????????//
I thought the same after we waxed UConn in the Big East Tournament Championship years ago.

"Styles make fights."  It'll be dependent on matchups or who catches fire.

Im jealous too!   Georgetown is doing what I hoped we would have gone.

Embarassing performance be Creighton.

Following a series of embarrassing games by just about every BE team (with IMO Providence/DePaul taking the cake). In other words, this year's tournament has shown just how mediocre the conference was this year. It needs to restock or suffer some serious damage to its reputation, especially given the strength and depth of the Big 10, SEC, and Big 12. Reminds me of 1993's ugly tournament (I think it was 1993), when six personal fouls were allowed and when the MSG roof was damaged and rain poured down ... followed by CBS not renewing its contract for BE games. Oy vey.

I thought the same whilst me and my best friend was out a bar last night.  This wasn't good basketball by any means per this conference tournament and made me realized how mediocre the conference was this season.  Bend the rules to bring in more talent.  Hell!  Other conferences are doing it.

I recall '93 extremely well.  That was during the "Storm of the Century."

What a great job by Ewing.  That team had every reason to quit mid-season, but picked it up, improved, and now look like they're rolling.

Georgetown certainly doesn't look like a team playing it's fourth game in 4 days.

What are they eating to get that energy? I want to get some of that. Might help if I was 25 years younger.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the Red Storm of the Century.

73-48 Georgetown

That's an old fashioned beat down.

At least we don't have to see Georgetown in the NIT. They earned a place at the big dance.

What a great effort by Georgetown. Knowing how badly Ewing wanted an NBA head coaching job and assuming the Hoyas have a good year next year e might get his wish.

that snow storm is what changed the Big East rule about team hotels. The Conference mandated all team stay in Manhattan instead of Queens, Long Island, Westchester and NJ during the championships. SJU was almost stranded out on Long Island in Glen Cove and needed a police escort on Long Island Expressway to MSG as did Syracuse from the LaGuardia Marriott.
