Sorry if I missed it. Anyone know what’s the worst seed we can get if we beat Gtown?

Chance we could still be the 8 seed if it’s a 3 way tie with prov and X?

Big East Standings
1. UConn (17 - 3)
2. Creighton (13 - 7) Above Marquette based on winning percentage against #1 teams [UConn] (1-1).
3. Marquette (13 - 7) Below Creighton based on winning percentage against #1 teams [UConn] (0-2).
4. Villanova (12 - 8) Above Seton Hall based on head-to-head record (2-0).
5. Seton Hall (12 - 8) Below Villanova based on head-to-head record (0-2).
6. Providence (11 - 9) Above St John's and Xavier based on winning percentage against #1 teams [UConn] (1-1).
7. St John's (11 - 9) With Xavier, below Providence based on winning percentage against #1 teams [UConn] (0-2). Above Xavier based on actual current NET ranking (34).
8. Xavier (11 - 9) With St John's, below Providence based on winning percentage against #1 teams [UConn] (0-2). Below St John's based on actual current NET ranking (61).
9. Butler (8 - 12)
10. G'town (2 - 18)
11. DePaul (0 - 20)

Lowest we can go is 7th.

That would require:
Villanova winning out (SHU, Creighton)
STJ beating Georgetown
Providence beating UCONN
Xavier winning out (Butler and Marquette)

Wow the net coming into play. Thanks!

Received a message today from Red Storm Sports that another email from Ticketmaster will arrive "soon" inviting me to accept my tickets. So any day now...
And that message appeared today with the link to my Big East Ticketmaster account which is different than my regular TM or MyJohnnies accounts. Same login though but it's tricky. You need to click on the icon in the upper right to log in to access the tickets.

yes - why life has to be this complicated who knows BUT - you can't get to it through your Johnnies account, nor can you get to it through your ordinary Ticketmaster account, you have to click the link in the email for Big East Ticket Manager and THEN log into your regular ticketmaster account. I saved that link as a favorite to make my life easier since i don't use the ticketmaster app. See you at the games!

I requested tickets in corner 100s and got tickets in the 200s. I believe the charge fits the 100s, but have to find the original pricing email.

If we beat Georgetown the only way we are NOT the 5 seed is if Providence beats U Conn and Creighton beats Nova on Saturday. That would put us in a 2 way tie with Providence which they win, putting us in 6th.

If we lose to Georgetown then we could STILL be the 5 seed if Providence and Nova both lose but I don't want to think about that.

The 3 and 4 seeds are getting interesting as between Creighton, Marquette and the Hall. I had wanted to play the Hall in the 4/5 game, but now I'm not so sure. But you gotta play somebody so ...

Yeah, re playing SH, the often referenced theory that is hard to go 3-0 against a team gives me pause. We tend to be trail blazers 🙄 & Holloway has his kids running through walls.

As you noted, it may be a case of picking your poison and we are playing much better however. Love these BE battles and our Tourney is electric unlike most other conferences.

Looks like there are two scenarios where we can finish 6th and the Hall 3rd. This is crazy

Uconn, marquette, creighton, or shu in quarters? I'd take shu.

Of course
I feel like SHU to SJU is like the Braves to the Mets. They always find a way to beat us and it always hurts more than losing to any other team (well to me at least). I think we are the better team, but SHU seems to be having one of those seasons. I would love nothing more than to run through them in the BET, but I would feel more on edge playing them than I would either of the three ranked teams.

Sorry, but if Seton Hall beats Depaul and Creighton beats 'Nova does SH win the tiebreaker for 3rd? If yes, at least in my opinion, just another reason to root for 'Nova on Saturday, i.e., I don't see SH winning a 3rd time against SJU this year.
