I'll save that feeling for when we beat Marquette in the BET championship game. Beat SH by 20+ points would be satisfying.
 
We dug a hole, seemed unlikely to dance, Pitino rallied troops & team started playing better. For a successful season, win next two games & be happy Selection Sunday. Can’t bitch about who our first BE opponent is, we put ourselves in this position. Good teams get it done, go Johnnies!

The thing with Seton Hall is that outside of Kadary Richmond you look at that team and you're like, "meh." I love Wusu, but he isn't a guy you have to game plan for. Bediako, he's a body. The wings are OK, but it isn't as though they scare you. There's no bench. EXCEPT, they are just going to play harder and tougher and with more desire than you are, they are going to play together, and the whole is way more than the sum of the parts.

I think we have more talent than they do but our tendency to try to be a one-man team does not match up well against them. If we continue our ball-sharing ways, we can beat them - but it won't be easy because it is just never going to be easy against a Holloway team. The guy is like a baby Kelvin Sampson.

I'm not sure I wouldn't prefer a matchup with Marquette minus Kolek or with a limited Kolek, despite how tough they hung with UConn last night.

Anyway we don't get a choice and we gotta play someone and possibly beat them (definitely will have to beat someone for seeding purposes). So it will be what it will be, for now hopefully the team doesn't overlook Georgetown.

I think comparing Shaheen Holloway as a “ baby ,” to Kelvin Sampson does a grave injustice to Holloway’s accomplishments .

Shaheen plays by the rules , Sampson has been a sleeze ball his whole career .

I like Holloway...and minor in scheme of all that's bad, but Holloway did get suspensions for tampering to recruit Tauren Thompson from Syracuse a few years ago

Thompson was a freshman at SU when his mother and Holloway exchanged more than 240 phone calls; NCAA prohibits coaches from contacting prospects or their family members when the athlete is enrolled at another school.

Kelvin Sampson has also had teams that play exactly the way Holloway teams play - for 25 years and at a much higher level. I believe at the moment he has the #1 team in the country.

Also his "sent players too many texts" scandal is kind of quaint by today's standards.

Teams that hire Pitino cannot exactly throw stones about these things, you know.

Of course I can throw stones at Sampson . I knew a lot of the chicanery he performed at Indiana . A blue blood school that should never hired him .

I won’t go into all the low ethics things he did recruiting wise but , it was enough . IU could not get rid of him soon enough .

Sure he wins . Now with the Portal , etc things have changed . Sampson has advantages . He knew all about Cash , etc years ago . Now it’s legal for everyone .
I’m betting Sampson is still a page ahead of everyone still.
