BET Talk

First one is easy: sauce. I have to reply because I do not want nasty rumors to start that I would use the term gravy for anything other than thanksgiving dinner.

Second, probably not, but I love it with beans.

Third, either way, it is delicious.

Lastly, have enjoyed matzoh with mozzarella and prosciutto. And I know, I bastardized the use of it.

I just gave my opinions, even though you most likely didn’t give a rat’s tail of them.
Forget about the sauce gravy debate this matzoh with mozzarella and prosciutto is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard of and I’ve eaten pretty much everything except broccoli and peas and lima beans after a night out drinking

I ate alpaca heart the other night and it didn’t seem as disgusting as what you did to mozzarella

We will get back 100 percent on topic after the Georgetown game.

This is also a wonderful reminder to donate a little to the site. The fact we can all joke and needle one another over silly things is due to Paul’s labor of love.

Will do that after I finish my macaroni and gravy. :sneaky:

I could have stopped after sauce/gravy, but there are so many more food arguments out there.

Of course the fact that Maher has no idea what the difference is between matzoh and a matzoh ball, but somehow ruining it anyway is right on brand.

lol it’s a basketball thread I thought he said Matzoh BALLS to keep it on topic :)

Matzoh with Mozzarella isn’t nearly as disgusting although I prefer Philly cream cheese

Does anyone recall when the tickets get emailed to us? Trying to sit with some friends and see I was charged for the tickets 5 days ago but awaiting the email

Historically I received them like the Monday or Tuesday of the tournament, but in the modern day maybe they'll show up in the Johnnies or Ticketmaster account earlier - but almost certainly not until after the Georgetown game (last game of the regular season).

1. Kolek's comment wasn't a slur, it was a throwback Shaq comment.

2. Kolek was also completely correct and he backed it up on the court. Jenkins and Dingle can't defend - how many guards not defended by Taylor or a zone D have lit us up this season? (Trick question, the answer is "all of them").

I don't really get the Kolek hate - I think he's the best player in the league and will not be surprised if he's playing in The League for a long time.
Not about his ability…he is a J-O and a D-B to boot!

What sucks is it appears the UConn fans ran up the price of the Thursday early session. The price of that session is double the evening session. So if St John's does indeed get the 5 seed, will have that to deal with for anyone looking for tickets on the secondary market (like myself lol)

Kinda poetic that your college their fans might F you :)

Well, I don’t disagree with your assessment of Kolek at all, I was referring to your comment regarding players using it for motivation; Kolek was classless but also right, the 2nd half was an effort abomination and they EARNED those comments.
Clyde is my favorite all-time athlete and was and is the epitome of class. I would love if all athletes conducted themselves the way he did.
So you see, at the end of the day, it makes no difference to me at all what Kolek said, and IMO, the players should feel the same way; what should bother them is the fact that they handed him all the ammunition he needed to make those comments with their soft play. Nobody to blame but themselves.
I am a firm believer you take care and concern yourself only with what you can control, not what you can’t.
Great response. Thank you.

Rumors flying Kolek suspended thru regular season after failing 3 midterms. Barbecued chicken or dodo bird?

Marquette denies rumor. It's too funny to be true, or maybe too funny not to be true. Lol
The compliance officer refuted the original tweet with an angry tweet of her own.

I think schools generally stay silent when someone's academics are being attacked if it's true.

I don't mind disagreeing with you here. I grew up admiring Walt Frazier's cool demeanor on the court. He beat you badly, but instead of gloating pursed his lips and shook one fist a couple of times more to himself than to show up an opponent. Trash talk might be very popular now and we had some of it back then, but I can tell you if some of the Queens teams I played on trash talked after winning in Brooklyn we wouldn't have gotten out of gym alive. To me it's just a matter of class. Let your game do the talking, be a gracious winner or loser, or STFU. ( not you, the trash talkers)

If Kolek had said that in the post game handshake he would have gotten popped, and deserved it. Cowardly punk move. Yes he is very good but also classless.
Amen Beast! I too am old and Hate the demeanor, behavior, sore winner, trash talking, self promoting, celebrating mannerism of the modern player. Fred Bilitnikoff would make the greatest catch you've ever seen and simply hand the ball to the ref. The clown act entire teams engage in now, even down 30 4th quarter, is an embarrassment. Class, dignity and respect are terms from a sadly bygone era.
