I don’t think we even get in now. Losing is one thing but this is horrendous. The committee knows there’s absolutely no chance of us winning two games in a row so why would they put us in
Well, the sky is always falling with you. Give your cortisol levels a break and just look at the #s. We are in.
The committee has always favored teams who finish the season strong. They have always been big on that. To be honest if they’re going to put us in Dayton to me it’s like not even being in the Tournament anyway. The tournament starts on Thursday.
Actually the committee has outright said that how you perform in the last 10 is no longer an important part of the process and they look at the season as an entire body of work.
Then that’s definitely a plus. Fingers crossed
We had a tired team. Thin roster against a good opponent. Shots didn't fall. Howard played like POY. I think we had more quitters posting than we had on the court.
Our shots didn't fall because they were tough shots, bad shots. It ain't a coinkydink.
There can't be a more inconsistent team in the country...right? Serious question...anyone else this up and down game to game?
I’ve been saying this for weeks now, the BE is gonna get its ass handed to them in the Tourney this year. There are much better teams in other conferences.

Which makes our record feel even worse right now.

Is that what You really think?

They lost by 32 tonight. They lost to Providence, DePaul and Xavier twice each. I’ve been rooting for this team since I was 8 years old.

We’re the quitters? Do you really think that?
Yes! There are more quitters on this site than on the team. Everything is fine and dandy if a player is playing well. But the moment they have a bad game or make a bad play, this board will not hesitate with comments like "Mullin must go......so and so player just isn't a big east level talent.....our players have the lowest basketball IQ...this team doesn't deserve to dance...etc..."

So yea, I would say there are more quitters on this site than in the locker room.

I didn’t go to this school. I have no financial connection to this school. I’ve never been to campus except to go to a game.

We’re the quitters? Do you really think that? Do you honestly believe what you wrote?
Well, I did have you in particular in mind.

That's really because the top of the other conferences are generally stronger but the bottom of those conferences are also weaker. The BE shouldn't really see a team get through the first weekend but all htat means is that they don't have any of the top 16 teams in the country, and they don't.

Sorry guys I blame the staff for the attitude and culture of the team. There are some great athletes on this team but they fail to mesh and fire on all cyclinders. This team plays very good street ball but sloppy organized team ball. Very inconsistent. It’s ok to lose but lose with pride and put up a fight.

I've been predicting this stuff fairly well of late, and I also think the Big East will be done by the time the first weekend is over. The only way I see the Big East moving towards the second weekend is if there's an upset in the 1st round and someone in our conference get a very, favorable matchup in the 2nd round.

Otherwise, I think this conference lays an egg in the NCAA's.

If you are fine with this than maybe I should just go. If people who root for this team are quitters because they care, and are honest without being insulting, then maybe a lot of people should stop posting here.

If I’m gonna be told how to think or be called a quitter....smh, lol.

Can’t even imagine if I was drinking right now.

Take the opportunity and review your posts on this thread. And tell me I didn't read your attitude and tone as negative.

I watch a lot of college basketball and I just don’t get where you guys see the big east being so inferior. Other than the teams that are going to be the 1 and 2 seeds, the rest of country has been extremely mediocre all year.

I look at the 4 and 5 seeds in bracket matrix and see Kansas (a mess right now), Maryland, Mississippi St, Virginia Tech, Kansas St.

None of those teams have really impressed me much this year. They’ve all had good wins but so have we this year. I don’t know I just don’t think the nation is all that this year. I think the final four is going to be all 1s and 2s
We really struggle badly in the BET. And to think it's at our house makes it even the more ridiculous. Really feels like we have zero home court advantage at MSG and I hate saying that.
I don't think it will ever be our house for the Big East Tournament, Zaun. The midwest teams don't draw when we've played them at MSG, but they come out strong for the tournament. They might only be able to take one vacation all year, and this is a great chance to spend a week in the Big Apple. How can you turn that down? And, the northeast schools have big alumni bases here, but maybe not as many chances to see their teams as we do.

I agree Guinness, it’s not that people on this board are quitting, our posts are just responding to and are reflective of what we are seeing from this team on the court. There has been a recurring theme all season.

At Knight.

How the hell am I supposed to feel positive right now?

Lol, don’t worry, start another thread. That’s so important.

Cue Kevin Bacon from Animal House “All is well.”

No. You must be a quitter.
I know I’ve gotten on you in the past for throwing in the towel early. And, lol, sometimes it’s deaerved. But, one thing I never question about you: you care. And so do I.
