(BET @MSG-Game-2) Marquette, Thur. Mar. 14, 7pm, FS1 / 970AM

This team shouldn’t make the tournament. Once they fall behind by 10 they quit. It’s a product of bad coaching
The Nova game might argue with this post. The Georgetown game too.

They have it in them. They just selectively care.
We were a completely different team against Nova and Gtown. We had fire then. We have now packed it in.
You read my post right? They selectively care. That’s a problem.

You said they quit down 10. That’s just not true.

Really ballsy to shoot 3's up 30+ with 3 or less minutes left IMO. It's like watching a homerun to a pitcher or spiking the football towards the other team. Classless IMO. If we were in Marq's shoes we win by 20 not 30+. Just to be nice.
Marquette will shoot 16% from 3 to even things out in their 1st round game. By the way, why do we blowout teams and let them within a decent margin to be nice like DePaul last night while teams like Marquette keep going pedal to the metal? You're up 31 relax. Pump the brakes.
Because we do not have it in us to play 40 minutes of intense ball. It’s been that way from the beginning of the year.

Keita in this game . Rout is on . Unfortunately . Too many guys were no shows tonight . It’s tough to play 2 games in 24 hours . Advantage is always to rested team . A weakness in our Personnel all year is no Reliable 3 point shooter . Too many slashers, not enough
Shooters .
We’d be a rested team, and not playing Marquette either, if this team handled any business the last 2 weeks.
Exactly. This game was lost over the last 2 weeks with the 3 losses. With the lack of size and depth, winning 2 games in successive days is a tall order. Assuming they make the tournament, matchups will be everything.
Honestly, I see this team as one and done or possibly, two and out. We will likely face a bonafide team in the 2nd round, if we make it that far. I just don't see us winning, unless we shoot light's out.
You’re probably right. The hope is they get a beatable team round 1, then play an upset winner in round 2. Sooner or later they will be exposed in the tournament.
So you're saying they're not going to be the national champion. Damn.

That was terribly ugly. Inexplicable. Hopefully the bracket guys in here r right. I’d still like these guys to get tourney experience.

Incredibly frustrating performance tonight and I will be sweating all day on Sunday. I have a sneaking suspicion this team ends up in Dayton. What it came down to today was poor shot selection and an inability to hit open shots. I actually thought they defended fairly well in the beginning and contained Howard decently at times. But they let their ineptitude on one end affect their play on the other. I think poor coaching is part of it, but it was mostly just that the team played poorly. This is the first time all year that I can say that LJ was terrible - didnt have it from the jump.

If we are lucky enough to play in the NCAAs, the key will be to stay out of foul trouble and share the ball. If we can have at least 4 of our starters on the floor at all times we can beat anyone. Let's see how it all falls. I feel for these kids because i know they fought hard this year, but we need to see more toughness out of this group than we have.

I don’t think we even get in now. Losing is one thing but this is horrendous. The committee knows there’s absolutely no chance of us winning two games in a row so why would they put us in
Well, the sky is always falling with you. Give your cortisol levels a break and just look at the #s. We are in.
The committee has always favored teams who finish the season strong. They have always been big on that. To be honest if they’re going to put us in Dayton to me it’s like not even being in the Tournament anyway. The tournament starts on Thursday.

We really struggle badly in the BET. And to think it's at our house makes it even the more ridiculous. Really feels like we have zero home court advantage at MSG and I hate saying that.

We had a tired team. Thin roster against a good opponent. Shots didn't fall. Howard played like POY. I think we had more quitters posting than we had on the court.

Actually the committee has outright said that how you perform in the last 10 is no longer an important part of the process and they look at the season as an entire body of work.

There can't be a more inconsistent team in the country...right? Serious question...anyone else this up and down game to game?

OMG Becky! Look at St. John’s playing ball!!!
The eyes on that young lady give me the heebie jeebies.

Is that what You really think?

They lost by 32 tonight. They lost to Providence, DePaul and Xavier twice each. I’ve been rooting for this team since I was 8 years old.

I didn’t go to this school. I have no financial connection to this school. I’ve never been to campus except to go to a game.

We’re the quitters? Do you really think that? Do you honestly believe what you wrote?
Oh well, funny how small a number Vegas picked for this game. Advantage rested team.
The last few games I’ve won enough for season tickets next year. Thanks Vegas!
