(BET) Creighton, Sat., Mar. 15, 6:30p, FOX

Shockingly I got a free white claw at Tracks pre game. They had some sort of promotion so I'm not passing up a free one. I went right to IPA's after :)

Fun fact: I've drank over 500 types of IPAs over the past few years. I don't drink nearly as often as I used to (maybe a few drinks per week), but I always read about your love for IPAs.

I'm assuming you drink the Hoptical Illusion at MSG...

No. North Carolina is out.
this didn't age well, Bubba made sure his team got in.

He "left the room" while they were voting on North Carolina is b.s. meanwhile he had the food and drink carts rolled into the room as he "left" his work already done. It's sort of like Trump letting Musk decide if gutting an agency that regulates Tesla and his other interest is a conflict of interest or not.

Bubba Cunningham being the chairman is a joke, he should be kicked off the Committee. Huge conflict of interest allowing the Tar Heels into the Big Dance with their 1-12 Quad 1 record and in a shitty conference this year. So they played Duke close and Duke was without Cooper Flagg.

Bubba must go. He hired Bill B. and let him put his 23 year old girlfriend on the payroll as an adviser. ;) Bill could be her grandfather (not father).

At least Xavier got in. They had to try to make up for up to 3 Big East snubs from last year, then the Big East went out and showed them up.

Right there with you, my current favs Other Half (all time fav), Fidens, Trillium, Tree House and I am saving a four pak of The Veil (Richmond Va) for when we get to the Final Four.

I spotted MJMJr drinking tall boy cans of Goose Island IPA at Da Garden this past week.

Impressive. Not Goose Island. LOL.

My name may or may not be enshrined on a small plaque dedicated to craft beer connoisseurs at the Bronx Ale House.

Maine Beer Co. was always amazing. Big time fan of Cigar City Brewing. They make some goof IPAs, especially the "Guayabera" Citra IPA... That brewery is about five minutes from my mother's house in Tampa so I visit whenever I am there.

I need to check out Other Half. Been hearing amazing stuff for years, and it's so close by...

Let's avoid political references. Always enough basketball to argue about.

Bronx Pale Ale is my favorite beer. They stopped selling it near my seats at msg. Goose Island is kinda just the convenient one near where we sit

HIGHLY recommend Other Half. I've been to multiple of their locations over the years and have never had a bad beer from them. Their IPAs are the best.

I am an old head, and everything else, and I agree.

Certainly the best Msg crowd I can recall. It was just teetering on the edge dying to explode the whole night. What beats it? I don't think the Rowan shot or sweater games.

I feel like we've had crowds that matched last night's in Alumni Hall at times.
Considering I'm a lot deafer now than 40 years ago, there were times then where it was so loud at the Garden or AH that you literally could not hear the person next to you even if they shouted.

Saturday at the Garden was as close to those days as anything since. It was awesome.

The post game celebration sucked for fans with all the media cluttering the court. Only the screens helped. In 1983 fans rushed the court and surrounded Billy Goodwin as he sat on the rim.

The greatest night at the Garden since 86 shot by Ron Rowan to win the tourney.

Greatest feeling ever being at that game. Can’t thank my cousins enough for the opportunity. Because of me, they are die hard St. John’s fans and have been through hell. Being with them as we cut down the nets at MSG was priceless!

The ‘Let’s Go Johnnies’ chant during our 2nd half run still gives me chills. It was deafening and Creighton never recovered. Spike Lee was rocking the Red vintage SJU starter jacket. As he was just a few feet away from me, I was so tempted to tell him to take that jacket off. 😀
Oh man those were sick seats. Yeah I wish you had told him to take the jacket off as we know where his fandom was back in the 80’s and 90’s and is sure wasn’t a team in red and white.

But hey, bandwagon fans help bring up the hype and everyone is taking about “New York’s Team”.

LETS GO!!!!!!

I'm so happy you were there. As they cut down the nets, i thought of guys like you, and all our other remote fans who post here daily, and the ones that are abroad. I think Gonzalo got hooked when Looie visited Spain long ago. But i know guys like Dinkins, the guys in NC, FL, TX, CA,OH, everywhere really. I know each of you wanted to be there but we were repping you.
That goes for those in England and Thailand also.

Would be nice if they made Breeder explain why he called it on RJ and not the Creighton guy.

I struggle to see the difference between the two gestures.
Before the Selection Show, I watched the second half (I Dvrd) it to relive the excitement and see what I might have missed. While explaining it to Pitino, Breeder made a motion like someone cocking a gun bringing the three fingers up to the side of his head and pointing it apparently saying that is what RJ did. On the replay I did see RJ point his three fingers (while the picture of the Creighton player on this thread appears to be around his waist and not pointed outwards) but I did not see him cock it.

Was Breeder the one who gave English the technical he got ejected for and English was shouting at?

Note, as you can probably tell, I am just catching up on these threads. While after the celebration after party at Tir Nog, I did make it to Mass on Saturday, it took me the rest of Sunday and part of today after spending at least a portion of Tuesday - Saturday in the city.

Not as young as I use to be.

Yes we did. Willie Glass stood on the rim after the 86 win. I was just at the edge of the court for that one and 2000 but not on it like in 83. Was no where near it this time.

You mean this wasn't the greatest night at the Garden since we won the 2003 NIT and rushed the court?? 😁
