My significant other has turned into a St. John's "fool" like many of us. She started watching Johnnies games with me during Anderson's last season in which she became a fan. Last season is when she started turning into a "fool" like us, and this season has only deepened her love for the team. She can't wait for Thursday/Friday to roll around.I can't blame her as this season has been pure euphoria.
Lol...
Bad management had nothing to do with it. It was a holier than thou attitude regarding some things in Coaches past which even some posters on this site agreed with. As I posted at the time forgiveness is a tenet of Catholicism Thankfully, we got a President of the University who recognized that and hired Rick. Luckily that President was also a college basketball fan and pulled the trigger to hire a Hall of Famer. Father Shanley deserves every thank you he gets!Bad management. Finally hired a president who gets it.
Looks to me like he was setting a moving screen. My son, 7 years old and in his SJU sweatshirt, got a friendly hand slap from Kaulkbrenner after the game. Moving screens aside, he seems like a good kid. Wish him luck going forward.

Thank you, Shannon. Wasn’t sure how I’d be able to convey the meaning, but I guess 18 years with a ringside seat helped!Jaden you speak eloquent and to the heart, for all of us. Well done![]()
Kalkbrenner and McDermott are both great representatives of this conference. They show no one up, play/coach the game right and give respect afterward. Have to respect that. Hope they do good in the tournament unless, somehow, they play us again. My son, 7 years old and in his SJU sweatshirt, got a friendly hand slap from Kaulkbrenner after the game. I hope Johnny TBird has more eligibility. The performer is unbelievably talented.View attachment 4501
Not sure if this has been posted already but I am cracking up at Johnny thunderbird being in the handshake line
Your son made him put his arm down for the first time in 5 seasons. My son, 7 years old and in his SJU sweatshirt, got a friendly hand slap from Kaulkbrenner after the game. Moving screens aside, he seems like a good kid. Wish him luck going forward.

If we go far enough the bird will hopefully be included in one of those all-mascot commercials that seem to appear during the tournament.I hope Johnny TBird has more eligibility. The performer is unbelievably talented.
Does anyone know who Johnny is? Only men like the late Prince or James Brown could do splits like that. Otherwise perhaps a female bird? I hope Mike R throws some NIL money that way. Really adds to the game experience.
We need him to give Vince a high 5 while on JohnnyFan’s shoulders then.Your son made him put his arm down for the first time in 5 seasons.

I am an old head, and everything else, and I agree.I'm not an old head, so take this for what it's worth - that's the best SJ crowd I've ever been a part of. It was absolutely deafening when we made our 2H runs.
And before that, he stuffed him on the other end.Lets be honest, the Vince lefty hook shot over kalkbrenner was the turning point of the game. The floodgates opened after that.
What a night!!!!
Drop a few F-bombs in there and your Nanny sounds like Coach-P.More old school stuff from my big mouth but I am really surprised at the preponderance of comments about the T called. The team did exactly what you do when a bit of adversity comes your way, as my maternal “Nanny” told me from the time I could hear, “hitch up your big boy pants, move on NOW and go take care of your business”.
Good thing the team, and especially Luis, didn’t decide they needed an apology or the call reversed before he and they took off from there and did exactly that. Some fans could take a lesson from them but certainly to each their own.
Refs are human, they make mistakes, and I for one would rather forget the apologies and rather reverse the stupid use of technology that is taking the human aspect out of sports under the guise of “getting it right”, which it most definitely does not do.
And all I can say is if there were machines calling the tennis lines years ago, we would have had no “Johnny Mac” and the world would have been a much duller, homogenized place for it.
Right! ...and correction, MSG is not in our back yard. It's our living room.A backhanded congratulations if there ever was one. Remember that for the last 25 years no one gave a crap that the game “was in our backyard”.
Just think, a few more hugs from Nanny in those spots and this forum loses its enforcer.More old school stuff from my big mouth but I am really surprised at the preponderance of comments about the T called. People were saying the same thing about Ziku last year and early this season.Admittedly still has a lot of work to do be “RP approved” but the kid absolutely has skills…think Pitino acknowledged the skills but is a bit disappointed in the level of improvement…hope he stays and commits to Zuby-like work ethic but its the NIL era and pay cuts will probably replace reduced PT as the coaches way to incent xfers
This was in the first half. I don't recall a tech being called.
