This is prime time in your relationship with him and now he can become a Johnnies fan. My grandson has a Johnny Thunderbird figure - a bargain at $42 since it's his favorite and his dad is a UCONN fan.

Best compromise to "expand the field"
March Madness would become May Madness.
I'd just eliminate the Dayton play-in and have each of the 8/9 seeds do a one game play-in across their regions. Win, you're in. Lose, you are not in and are only a NIT participant.
More college basketball is not a bad thing.
And players may get paid to play. Oh, yeah.
I think a 64-team tournament is perfect.
More equivalent 9-10-11 seeds - mediocre teams from major conferences - seems boring to me unless that mediocre team is SJU.

The most fun way to do this expansion would be to require a certain % of non-P5 schools in it. I'd enjoy rooting for the George Masons, Boise States, Bradleys of the world to beat UNC, Texas, Oklahoma, etc. But we all know that's not happening. lol
