Rutgers is crap. Gotta wait and see tb vs. Wichita St. SHU has played a weak schedule so far.

Watching Seat Hall destroying Rutgers. Do not think we can beat them they all shoot the ball well

Opinions

Their freshmen are looking pretty good but Rutgers is a really crappy team. Hard to draw any conclusions from this game.

True. This is a team that scored 26 points against UVA, and only 8 points in the second half. However, it looks like Seton Hall plays well together, can hit the 3-ball, and Delgado is a big-time rebounder. On top of it, they always give us trouble.

Cry and whine all you want about the way Willard got Whitehead. The bottom line is he has brought in quality players (many of them locals) that are showing a lot of potential. In my opinion, Seton Hall has positioned themselves well.

Delgado (Bronx)
Carrington (Brooklyn)
Rodriguez (Brooklyn)
Sina (NJ)
Gibbs (NJ)
Whitehead (Brooklyn)

183rd SOS so far. One tough game coming up then back to cupcake city. They can easily be 10-1 and you still won't know if they are any good until the BE starts.

yep but like Redken says they do give us trouble and last year was the first time we won in Jersey in
like a million years. They look like they will be good this year, as will all the Big East. Seems like the old days in the Big East.

Rutgers beat Clemson who beat LSU who beat West Virginia who beat Boston College who beat Providence who beat Notre Dame who beat Michigan State. At this point in the season it is hard to read much into these games but if you can't see that Seton Hall has a lot of talent you are in denial.

We will finally find out what Seton Hall is made of on Tuesday, when they play Wichita State. Given their schedule to date, it's impossible to tell what they can do in the Big East. Their freshman big man Delgado is a phenomenal rebounder- but man, he is probably the worse free throw shooter I've seen in a long time. He's shooting 25% and he gets to the line a lot. On purpose, I'm sure.

Rather than go on about other BE teams compared to us, I feel confident we can beat. any team in BE (with possible exception of Nova), but also be on opposite side of ledger. This is a very tough league top to bottom. Hopefully we can hold serve at home for most part & steal some BE road games. In my opinion, winning 11 conference games & all remaining out of conference tilts ,with exception of Cuse & Duke, positions us well. Grab a couple of BE Tourney games & we dance. However, let's not kid ourselves, we are quite beatable when playing mediocre. This envisioned success is also contingent on not sustaining key injuries or player suspensions.

No quarrels about the talented freshmen class but dont ignore fact that 4 of them came as a result of offering coaching positions

I agree with you, particularly if 11-7 puts us in the top four in the league and we win one Big East Tournament game. None of this will be easy. I also think there is no reason we can't beat Villanova at home. They are no better than Gonzaga and we a had good chance in that game.

Time to get over that. He did it, it is done and it helped their program.

Helped their program initially, not in the long term

Yeah, but unfortunately we don't have enough depth (or any depth, for that matter ) up front to keep him fouling him.

Great post paultz, however I feel that Nova is not a bad match up for us at all. Great team, but not one that scares me with the roster we have. Dlo and phil just checked off cuse for the first time. Now its time they do the same for Nova.

Our upcoming opponent (and one who received votes last poll) St. Mary's took their first loss last night, at home to Boise St.
