Around the Big East

You guys took my post way out of context. I don't care if they won a national championship, you really think they enjoy being in the AAC?

Jack nailed it. It's not about their program vs ours, it's about the fact that many of their fans (whether they admit it or not) really want to still be in the Big East. Truth be told, I'd have no problem with UConn back in our league, but they will never give up football & I am fine with the 10 school set up. Expansion ruined the Big East in the first place. It's not just UConn, there is are similar posts about the Butler win over UNC/the Big East's hot start on the Syracuse & Pitt board as well. My point is that people are noticing our start, we need to keep it going.

I would take UConn in a second too.

They would be great for the league and give it more credibility.

It isnt happening though as long as they are playing football in that conference.

My kind of game - Carolina shot better; blocked 10 shots to 1 for Butler (by far the most over-rated stat in basketball IMO) but Butler took 15 more shots because they killed NC on the boards.

Lol. Thanks for sharing. They are like a teenage girl that got dumped, they tell all of their friends they are fine, then go home and cry all night.

They won a national championship last season...

BE is off to a great start, but we're in no position to pick on UCONN.

And unlike many of us you are in no position to pick on UCONN fans.

Another huge BE win...this time by Georgetown. Smith-Rivera and Peak were huge in OT.

Gtown 66-65 in OT. Keep 'em coming! (Jnaw, you beat me to it, but all that matters is it's another big BE win.)

The Big East ends the night with an overall record of 39-3 this season with two tournament championship under its belt thus far. 8/10 teams are undefeated.

What a freaking start.

Here's hoping we have "freaking" finish to the year as well.

Tough losses for Butler and Gtown today but Xavier beat San Diego and Marquette just knocked off Georgia Tech. Big East has another victory over the ACC!!

Marquette over Georgia Tech, 72-70! Matt Carlino with 38 for Golden Eagles.

Georgetown loses to Wisconsin, 68-65.
