The Big East teams are a collective 34 wins and just 2 losses at this point in the season. Pretty darn good.

@VinParise: Seton Hall wins Paradise Jam w/ 84-80 win over Illinois State. Sterling Gibbs goes for 40 points. Strong tourney showing for the Pirates.

great to see the big east start off so well....and just as satisfying seeing the acc stumble....love these results:

hawaii over pitt
appalachian st. over va. tech
gardner webb over clemson
winthrop over clemson
iona over wake forest

also good to see that big east is 2-0 vs. the acc so far....(providence over ND and florida st)....

i saw one publication that had the acc with 9 teams in the tournament and the big east with 2....it's early but i would be surprised if that turned out to be accurate.....

I too applaud the performance of the BE thus far & just hope we can hold up our end of the bargain.

according to this Big East is 3rd in RPI and we are last in the big east below Marquette

http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_bige_Men.html

ACC BTW is ranked 1st

Marquette has played the only true road game, that's why they are ahead of us despite the losses.

Expect RPI and especially SOS to rise for us after this week, regardless of results.

And Seton Hall, while undefeated, has yet to play anyone of any significance yet. Their first real test will be Sat against George Washington. (By the way, Sterling Gibbs is looking massively improved, albeit against lesser competition.)

. . . and it's way too early to read anything into RPI.

I think the Hall will beat GW. Didn't look good against Virginia despite Cavaliers poor shooting,

@KevinMcNamara33: Both Kris Dunn and Jalen Linsey have ankle injuries that could keep them out for both Yale and Kentucky, per Ed Cooley

Poor Buzz :p

@JonRothstein: Northern Iowa beats Virginia Tech by 19 in Cancun. Panthers are deep, experienced, and unselfish. Really solid mid-major team.

Villanova knocked off VCU last night so Big East RPI helped by ViCU defeating Oregon for 3d place in Tourney.

There we go with ESPN showing the early dominance of the BE. Nice to see. Long way to go, but things have started well for the league this year. Nova certainly doing its part and then some. Time for others, including the Johnnies, to step up with them.

Only thing better now is Buzz drinking the water and getting the shits on the plane ride back
