@TylerRickyTynes: Big East news: Providence’s Ladonte Henton has been named POW for his 38-point spurt. Xavier’s Trevon Blueitt was named Rookie of the Week.
 
It is so early in the year but I have seen Creighton twice this year and they look like they could very well be better than last year.
 
@GoodmanESPN: Big East hoops combined is 30-2. The only team with a blemish is Marquette -- who has lost both.
 
Nova just took #14 VCU to the woodshed! 75-53 with 2:51 remaining.
Xavier destroyed Murray State.

Marquette is 1-2 and the rest of the Big East is 33-0.

Terry Larrier only has six and two for VCU, but I thought he looked really good. He had a fantastic drive and jump stop and looked good even on his misses. He made a great choice in VCU...I think we'll be seeing his name pop on mocks in a few years.
 
reading between the lines the announcers of the Villanova /VCU had something good to say about all the member of the Big East except Marquette, Senton Hall, and St John's. This could be a long year!

Marquette down 3 to NJIT, early second half.
 
Pirates back up to 13 point lead. Gibbs has 29 points with 10 and a half minutes still to go. He can't miss right now.
