Marquette down 81-70 to Nebraska-Omaha with 4 minutes left. If the score holds, it would be the first really bad loss for the league this year (It would also give Marquette both of the league's losses, FWIW).

I am anxiously awaiting Otis' response given that he has gushed over Wojo at Marquette all off season and destroys Lavin every time SJU loses to a lesser opponent.

Surely Otis applies his reasoning consistently and without bias.

Otis gushed over Wojos great recruiting class just as you did for coach Lavin if you recall " I can see us ending up with the number 3 class when all is said and done".
Again Otis deals in facts while you continue to 1.dream, 2. Smoke crack, 3. Hallucinate , 4. Refuse to accept reality.
Sorry to say but the problem is not Otis or Avonbarksdale or Johnnnyfan or myself or any of the doubters. We don't make and change the line up, control the erratic substitution patterns , design the plays , recruit European diamonds in the rough, academic risks, etc. but ask yourself who does?

"Deals in facts"? Please, let's cut the crap. We all know hidden agendas when we see them. As for reality, I'll accept it when it happens, not when it's predicted through the sh*t colored glasses of the doubters on this board. I'd rather root for the team like a fan and actually try to enjoy what I'm paying for and spending so much time supporting.

Smoke crack? Is that necessary?
This has nothing to do with how factual Otis' posts are (or aren't). Otis, as you well know, was one of Norm Roberts' most ardent supporters until the very end. Where were those constant "fact" updates then? He's pointing out--with "facts"--Lavin's recruiting woes for three years. "____ out of the top 100 recruits have signed and Mr. Lavin has zero." That continued a few days before Lavin signed the #26 RSCI ranked recruit at our greatest position of need. Then silence from him. No fact update. Two months later he started the same countdown.

He praises Wojo for everything from ice bucket challenges to letters to fans (those, btw, are opinions)--it's not just limited to recruiting and it's not limited to Wojo. Otis posts "facts" when every other coach in the league does something that can be construed as positive.

If you think using facts make everything okay, tell an overweight woman she is obese. It is a fact, right? Tell her every day for three years. Then, point out something else about the other overweight women around her, like "those women have large breasts." Do that for three years. Still okay? Yes, this is a little over the top, but Otis clearly has an axe to grind with Lavin. He didn't do this with Norm and he doesn't do this with any other coach in the Big East.

It aint the Big East, but it sure is a pleasure watching Stanford-Duke. Most impressive stat I've heard all year: 3 of Stanford's starting 5 are in graduate school.

I wonder if your group were the coaches would still come to the board and bash yourselves every night?
Yes. It's called self flagellation. :)

Otis' judgement seems flawed. :)

And now Kris Dunn went down with what looks like a leg injury. I hate to see him get hurt again. He's had such bad luck since arriving at Providence

He's back in the game. Friars down 3, with 2 minutes to go.
