Nice first half, so so second. Carrington played well with 11 points.

@NYPost_Brazille: Seton Hall tops Nevada in Paradise Jam opener, 68-60. Isaiah Whitehead (8 points) still looking to get on track.

Delgado with 9 rebounds (4 offensive). Whitehead aside, that was a decent 2014 class. Seton Hall is scary.
scary good ?

They got a big break too, with Clemson losing to Gardner-Webb thanks to a meltdown of epic proportions. That gives the Pirates a clear road to the finals of that tournament.

It would be great for the conference for SH to win this tournament.
Delgado would look great in SJU red :(

Did we recruit him?

Future opponent Long Beach State taking it to Bruce Webber's K State team right now. They are no gimme.

Not unless we had an assistant coach's spot (albeit a temporary one) open for Oliver Antigua ... so I'm guessing no.

Interesting......Michael Perez had 12 pts. for Nevada. He was a SJU commit. Ultimately de-committed for UTEP.

Scary? It's scary that you think that win scared anyone.

I am sorry, were you more impressed watching our guys scratch and claw their way past LIU?

No, but what does that have to do with your "scary" comment? You were impressed with SH scratching and clawing their way past Nevada? That's the point.

Honestly, I only saw the first half. The scary comment comes from me hoping to sweep them. I am not sure that will be easy.

Good news: providence beat an ACC team today handily (FSU)

Bad news: Marquette looks like they are gonna suffer an awful loss to Omaha. Who got beaten by Seattle U by 24. Ughhhh

PC is well on its way to blowing out Florida St., but Marquette looking like they'll also take the second BE loss of the season as Omaha is pulling away. Good for them that they have help coming next season, because this doesn't look like a good team.

Marquette down 81-70 to Nebraska-Omaha with 4 minutes left. If the score holds, it would be the first really bad loss for the league this year (It would also give Marquette both of the league's losses, FWIW).

Nice timing. Just beat me to it.

Chris Dunn is a high level PG for PC? If he stays healthy, his Friars could be tough.

Thank Buzz Peterson for leaving Marquette barren of talent just as Steve Lavin will at St. John's next year. The early signing period is over and our great recruiter signed one 3* player. We are involved to decreasing extent with only two other players in the top 100. Yet, with Wojo as coach, I see a brighter future for Marquette next year than St John's.

You "buzzed" 72? Can't blame Peterson here, lol. Williams.

I am anxiously awaiting Otis' response given that he has gushed over Wojo at Marquette all off season and destroys Lavin every time SJU loses to a lesser opponent.

Surely Otis applies his reasoning consistently and without bias.

Otis gushed over Wojos great recruiting class just as you did for coach Lavin if you recall " I can see us ending up with the number 3 class when all is said and done".
Again Otis deals in facts while you continue to 1.dream, 2. Smoke crack, 3. Hallucinate , 4. Refuse to accept reality.
Sorry to say but the problem is not Otis or Avonbarksdale or Johnnnyfan or myself or any of the doubters. We don't make and change the line up, control the erratic substitution patterns , design the plays , recruit European diamonds in the rough, academic risks, etc. but ask yourself who does?

In words of Howard Cosell in Frazier, Foreman fight, "Down goes Marillac"! :)

I wonder if your group were the coaches would still come to the board and bash yourselves every night?
