At halftime, Raftery made the comparison to Dave DeBusschere.
For those of you old enough to remember, dead on balls accurate.

McDermott stat line:
37 points
15/25 FG
5/10 3 point FG
7 rebounds

He is beyond NBA ready.

McDermott is a very good college player but...
He is a 6-7 combo forward. On the next level he is a catch & shoot 3-pt specialist who cant play defense. He will have a long career on the end of various benches.

I'd love to have his problems. However, I disagree. I think he will be a very productive NBA player.

LOL.

Seeing how he already earned the respect of NBA pros on the USA Select team over the summer, I'll just completely disagree with your post.

And what exactly is a combo forward?

Hopefully McDermott rides the LIRR drunk less often.

A nice night for the Big East.....Marquette wins big and Xavier takes down Tennessee.....

That Xavier game got a little too close for comfort b/c the Muskies pulled out the SJU free throw shooting strategy. Virginia and NC State both lost in ACC non conference action, how sad.

ACC is pretty much getting destroyed in OOC play thus far. Not good for their RPI to open this way. Hard to make up ground if it continues. Our loss to Wisconsin doesn't look so bad considering they just took out number 11 Florida. If it is a loss we are going to have, it's better to be to a team like Wisconsin who next week should be ranked no lowere than #14 or so in the top 25. In addition, the Big 10 seems like they'll hold too conference honors this year.

Watching Kentucky/ Duke/ Kansas/ Mich St last night- it's scary how far off those teams are from STJ. It's like watching a different league.

Could not agree more. I has the exact same thought.

You could say that about quite a few teams throughout the nation.

Your point?

We aren't close with the top tier teams, the game looks faster watching the top ranked teams play.
