Around the Big East

I'm also disappointed that Raf and Gus Johnson aren't doing this game with it on national TV. If you're trying to get the buzz going with CBB on Fox, you need your main guns doing the big games.

This game makes me feel not so bad about us. I mean jeez.

Agreed. Poor offensive sets in this game, no flow, lots of chucking. As the announcers said, these are two of four teams to have reached the Sweet Sixteen the last four years, so good teams are not immune to some early season rust. Our similar struggles at times may be par for the course in the early going.

Really surprised that Raf is not doing this one (he's got our game Tuesday night).

Gus is calling Baylor-Texas Tech football on FOX later tonight. Don''t think he's going to be doing much hoops until after football is over (and I think FOX only has one bowl game, so it won't be much longer). Probably only did the BC-Providence game because it was the first one in the history of the network.

Marquette needs to get going in this game. Offense for OSU seems to have woken up. This is a big game for the Big East.

I know its a bit off topic, but with a lot of college football scores flashing across the screen today, I couldn't help but noticed how impressive some of our former members are doing in football.

UConn 0-8 (currently losing)
West Virginia 4-7
Pitt 5-5
USF 2-6
Rutgers 5-4
Syracuse 5-4 (currently getting embarrassed, 21-0 in the 1st qtr)

Ouch.

Florida State could score more points than Syracuse's men's basketball team scores later today.

If they weren't playing Colgate it would be very likely.

Uconn is 0-8 ? they really need to just get rid of that program

Syracuse may want to invoke the Mercy Rule.

Temple should do the same

Seton Hall going into OT versus Mercer (56-56).

Providence up by 30 at the half on Marist (47-17). The game is on FS2.
