Not Big East related , but I was not going to start another thread, but number 8 Virginia just dismissed 6 9 Memphis transfer AUstin Nichols from the team. He played in 1 game and scored 11 points against ST. Francis in 6 minutes. He is a hell of a player. Too bad.

More of a slasher type who runs floor like a gazelle. We'll see if his shooting has improved. Zona year was a small sample, but he did not arrive there with a rep as a dead eye shooter.

Paultzman , would you not say that Ellison and Simon have very similar games, just that Simon is faster , stronger , a better finisher and a better defender. That would certainly be my opinion.

Nova vs Hofstra, potetential ncaa tournament games in soon to be completed Nassau coliseum. St Johns not mentioned other than Wright mentioning he beat us but would not be surprised to have some games there in the future as well.
