Hate the guy, but I side with Boeheim on this one. What's the point of being so physically gifted if you are just going to coast through games? Judging by the reaction to his coach's comment, I doubt he'll ever show any fire at all.

He probably has multiple times in multiple ways. Not saying he is right but article also implies his teammates are not happy with the effort either.

Nah, it is a "savant" at even a younger age. Not a recruit.
 
Great contest w Nova v Xavier. Both teams really get at it on D & share the ball. Xavier up 3 at the half.

Macura is killing it, another guy you hate unless he is on your team. Chippy, but a talented hustler.

Watching Jalen Brunson, MCD AA, struggle lately for Nova gives me pause about having super high expectations for LoVett year one. It takes time.

At this point, of all the newcomers, i probably have the most faith in Ahmed having the biggest immediate impact. Only because he's already done it at a higher level. Xavier really taking it to Nova.
 
I think Xavier seems the most NCAA-ready of the Big East teams. Nice bigs and guards. Well run offense and defense. Well-coached. I think Nova is gonna fizzle again, but I hope they don't.

Playing at home before that fantastic crowd really invigorated X tonight too. Love their arena

True. But seeing Sumner, a guy who sat for a year and practiced with the team (like Lovett), play so well, makes me believe he can be good as soon as he plays.
 
I'm pretty much committed to picking Xavier in my pool. This year seems like the most realistic year that we aren't locked into Kentucky, Duke, UNC, etc. winning.

The again, I've said that before, and the blue blood always wins.

I like Macura. He is a great shooter.
 
Xavier will be my pick this year as well. They are the most complete team in the Big East, and even last year they did well in the tournament going to the sweet 16.

I trust Nova more than any other team against weaker, non tournament teams because they're really well disciplined but I don't have much confidence when they play top teams.
