The more I see Xavier the more I believe they can be a final eight team & represent BE very well in the Dance. Have depth, share the ball, play great D, have veteran leadership & a great coach.

Not Big East, but Duke imploding against Louisville. Back to back techs on rat face and Allen. Hate it when ESPN cuts away from rat face whenever he starts going ballistic, which he does quite often.

Duke is so easy to hate. K bitches at every call, Allen is a talented, but dirty player & they get benefit of doubt 90% of time. Enjoying this loss.

Couldn't agree more and Think they can maybe take it a step further to final four weekend

They sure could.

Xavier has a gem in Edmond Sumner. I think they'll be even better next year. Wish them all the best come Tourney time.

I think they have way better chance of going deep then nova. Of course it all comes down to match ups, but I just haven't seen the same killer instinct from nova. Actually Villanova win over Temple this week was the best I've seen them this year

Agree. Xavier has much better depth on the interior IMO. Also, this is not a vintage Nova shooting team. They rely so much on going to the line via good penetration with more than a touch of flopping. I don't think they will get away with that come Tourney time.

Yea. Novas interior is anchored by Ochefu, who I'm still not sold on. He played like a man possessed against us last weekend, but against skilled and older big men he looks lost on the offensive end.

Per Greg Logan
There only are 6 D-I teams w/fewer than 5 total losses -- #Villanova, #Xavier, #Kansas, #Hawaii, #Chattanooga & #ArkansasLittleRock. Amazing

Tenn crushing LSU. Sampson done nothing. Simmons didn't start due to "academic reasons" looks like he's mailing it in on both ends. Completely listless. Blakeney the only one on this team who is going hard.

Coach Johnny Jones makes Norm look like John Wooden.

I watched Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith rip him apart for what seemed like five full minutes of their show the other day.

Once Simmons went in he never came out. Was he recruited by being told he could be the NIT MVP this year?

Simmons . . . looks like he's mailing it in on both ends. Completely listless..

Bayless also had strong opinion on this. Said he has wonderful talent but just floats through games every single time he's seen him play. Praised his court vision but no killer instinct like a presumed No. 1 pick should have.

Perfect example of why following a family friend to a school is not always a bright decision.

Watching the game yesterday, I don't think Simmons even cared if his team won or lost. Kinda just going through the motions to get the season over with.

Saw a Rothstein tweet noting Arcidiacono of Nova had 17 assists & no turnovers in last two games. Can't stand him, but he is proof positive of value of senior leadership and the importance of a skilled PG.

Different type of player & only a Frosh, but it is critical for Lovett to be a competent PG in year one.(tough task) He has a rep as a scorer & distributor. To me the latter is more important relative to the makeup of our young squad. Get the ball to the right guys in the right places & still get your own fair amount of shots seems to be a positive formula. Hopefully he can also run the break effectively, something we have struggled with for many years. Sense he will.

Great point re: Arci...something I noticed yesterday is that Nova players will hold ball probing for passing opportunity before giving up their dribble...
