For what its worth......

Kenpom has move the Big East up to 3d in its conference power rankings:
1. Big 12
2. ACC
3. Big East
4. Big Ten
5. Pac12
6. Southeastern
7. American
8. A10..... on down to
Southwestern Athletic Conference @ #32.

Kenpom rank 6 Big East teams in its top 53:
Nova (#2), X (#14), G'town (#31), Butler (#34), PC (#43) and Creighton (#53). StJohns ranks in at #173 but at a more respectable #116 for "adjusted defense".

Fordham is 126 so that would be a nice win.

Yep. Friars looked good for most of the game. Would be great for the conference if someone from the Xavier/Georgetown/Butler/Providence tier can elevate itself into a top 15 team for most of the year to join Villanova. Also would be great for the conference if Nova could ever live up to it's potential in March but that's another topic.

Thankful for DePaul this year.

Seriously. Too bad both of our DePaul games are late in the year. The five games leading up to our first DePaul game are Villanova, Butler, Georgetown, Xavier and then Nova again. It'll be like an oasis in the desert...

Xavier looks top 10 quality. Butler and Providence will definitely make the tournament, Georgetown probably will too. 5 teams will get in from the big east maybe 6 if Marquette keeps winning games.

BE will get at least 5 every year.
At 50%, that should match/beat every other conference.
That has to piss off the football 5.

@HolyLandofHoops: Awesome to see 4 @BIGEASTMBB in the latest Coaches Poll:
7 - Villanova
18 - Xavier
24 - Providence
25 - Butler

@AdamZagoria: No surprise, Kris Dunn named Big East PLayer of the Week. Dunn averaged 20.0 points, 7.3 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals in a 3-1 week

@AdamZagoria: Marquette's Henry Ellenson named Big East ROW. He averaged 16.3 points and 10.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week w/ wins over LSU and ASU

In AP poll;

@NYPost_Brazille: Villanova (8), Xavier (12), Providence (23) of @BIGEASTMBB ranked in Top 25. G'Town, Butler getting votes. Imagine if league was any good?

Seton Hall opens as 7-point underdogs at George Washington tomorrow night. KenPom says: 74-68 GW #shbb
