Around the Big East

PC wins, Dunn& Bentil the best inside out combo in BE.

Sorry to say it, but they're going to have a field day against us. We have no one with the size, strength, and speed to compete with Dunn.

Man the big east looks loaded. We better get Lovett or I can't see beating anyone but DePaul

Even with LoVett, getting three wins would be an achievement. (And as I posted a couple of weeks ago, I just don't see the NCAA acknowledging it's made a mistake regarding his eligibility.)

True but I wanna see this team fully healthy with a rel PG. nobody is expecting to be a tournament team but getting embarrassed every game is gonna be real tough to stomach.

Got to use the old Detroit Pistons strategy on him. Have all guys gang up and foul him. After all, they'll only call 1, might as well wear him out doing it.

After today's action the Big East is collectively 58 wins and 18 losses.

Pretty darn impressive.

Did not want to start a new thread, so will note here a tidbit on Max Hooper. For Oakland, this week he had 21 points & seven 3s v Georgia & 24 on 8 threes v Robert Morris last night.

Not a Max fan, nor mourning his loss, just passing it on. Hopefully it won't result in a ten paragraph critique of his game. :)

worst career move ever was leaving harvard. And I'm not talking about basketball

Agree. Nice to have his father, Chip Hooper, big music guy living in Carmel, to help Max "survive" in the future. :)

#9 Nova takes on #7 Oklahoma tonight in a big game for the conference

Oklahoma all over Villanova early in Pearl Harbor 22-12

Now tied at 26 with 2:30 left in the half

First real look at Nova and they have played poorly. Will not consider them a real tournament threat as long as they stay a completely perimeter oriented team.

4-28 from 3.
That won't happen again this season.

Until the NCAA's when some bottom feeder ACC team mauls them

Nova was shooting under 31% from 3 going into this game - worst in the BE as we near the first qtr. mark. They don't win this league if they don't improve that stat line.
