@Kim_Adams1: 3 @BIGEASTMBB games today:

Xavier vs USC - 2:30pm ESPNU
Villanova vs Georgia Tech - 3pm ESPN2
Providence vs #11 Arizona - 11:30pm ESPN2

I love the next 4 months.

It must great to be retired.
I am just trying to not hate the next four minutes.

@CerasolisGhost: Seton Hall announced they will play in 2016 Orlando Classic. Field: Florida, Zaga, Indiana St, Iowa St, Miami (Fl), Quinnipiac, Stanford.

To date Brunson plays like a senior. MVP today.

@VUhoops: Villanova has held opponents under 60 points in 5 of 6 games.

Jalen Brunson & Josh Hart each had 13. Jenkins added 12.

Big East is 14-10 against the Football 5 schools.

Excellent story lines that are getting national attention, should be at least a 5 bid conference.
*Nova of course is top 10 and undefeated, as expected. Brunson playing great. Tournament bound.
*Xavier undefeated with 4 Football 5 wins. Tournament bound, possible top 10 team.
*Butler having a great start to the season outside of the Miami loss. Tournament bound.
*Georgetown is 1-3 but clearly a tournament team if they start finishing games (which they will).
*Providence of course has the Dunn story line, possible player of the year, and playing well, Undefeated and a win tonight would propel them into the top 25. Decent shot at the tournament.
*Marquette able to beat LSU/Simmons and looks on the right track. Ellenson a big story. Decent shot at the tournament.
*Creighton playing well. Could make the tournament though most likely won't.
*Seton Hall has some nice talent and also off to a good start. Have a shot at the tournament.
*SJU playing better than expected and Mullin clearly a competent coach so far (this is the most important thing this year- to play respectable).
*DePaul: fire the AD (this is the only negative team this year so far).

All in all pretty solid year and 8/10 teams have a legit shot at the tournament, although I'd bet about 5 (possibly 6) will end up making it.

Brunson but Brunson was a 5 star top 25 player coming out of high school

Brunson, but Mussini may stay in college longer.

Very nice win for Providence and the league. Kris Dunn just dominated the last 5 minutes to bring them back from down 7. Michigan State Sunday night.

PC had to beat Arizona AND the refs.

Refereeing was bad for both teams, it almost always is; just part of the game. Do away with replay and 24/7 unintelligent, self-serving talking heads and see how much better officiating becomes. Of course, neither of those are going to happen and officiating will just keep getting worse and worse.

Starting play today the Big East stands with a solid overall win/ loss record of 39 wins and 13 losses.

Ben Bentil, a 6'9 PF on PC, played well & is really developing. He does love to shoot deep though.

Big East is third in conference RPI. We are behind second place by only .0005. We are ahead of the ACC and Big Ten, only trailing the Big 12 and PAC 12.

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology/conference

Also of note, the American is ranked #10.

Individual team RPIs:

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rpi/_/groupId/4

Providence #9
Xavier #11
Villanova #13

The highest ranked for the ACC is Louisville at #15.

So yeah, think the Big East is doing pretty damn good so far. We are more top heavy this year which is a good thing. Nova may finally have some competition.
