Just saw the replay (also saw it live). Don't think we can make judgments about what his intended target was, but it was certainly looked like an intentionally vicious, vicious shot at Archie's face, a shot that landed on his forehead. Given the position of their bodies, truly one of the worst sucker shots to a player's unprotected face that I've ever seen.

Said in jest. Probably a two game suspension is in order. Btw, I thouht Obekpa should have gotten a game by the league. Fate kept him out anyway.

TOO funny mjm! All the differing accounts of what happened remind me of the Seinfeld episode about the Keith Hernandez spitting incident treating it like the JFK assassination. As for calling the Hall fans homers who are defending the incident as an accident if we were involved some of our fans would be blaming Arcidiacono for intentionally raising his head and smashing our guy's elbow with his face.

This shows that Ryan A. is a class act. Not many people in his situation would have responded to the incident and Sterling's tweet in this manner.

Hes hard to watch when playing against our team, but thats mostly because he is very good. I respect that hell out of that kid.

Listen, Gibbs wasn't going to kill the guy, but the intent was clear. It was to hammer him. It was an opponent on the ground and it's pretty easy to see what the intent was. He should get a 2-3 game suspension and be done with it. That likely could mean their post-season chances are over even if they probably were before the incident.

Kevin Williams never hit a guy in a game, did he? But he did call out Patrick Ewing, taunting Ewing to try to take a piece of him after a Ewing cheap shot at the Garden. I don't think Gibbs would have been dumb enough to punch KW in the head.

It was amazing how KW's toughness changed that team and that season. I seem to remember Louie saying that one of, if not the biggest mistake he ever made as a coach was not playing KW until he was a senior.

It was amazing how KW's toughness changed that team and that season. I seem to remember Louie saying that one of, if not the biggest mistake he ever made as a coach was not playing KW until he was a senior.

That was only after reporters questioned him on how KW was a very good pro in the NBA but got limited minutes at SJU. KW was going to transfer a number of times for lack of playing. Looie liked Bob Kelly and the loss to Georgia, in the NCAA's, could be attributed to Looie's reluctance to inserting KW until late in the game. KW was able to combat the quickness of Georgia's guards and led SJU's comeback that fell short courtesy of Terry Fair abusing Bill Wennington.

I do find it funny that many of the Lavin haters were praising willard so highly in the beginning of the season, essentially saying we need a guy like him over Lavin..well would you rather have a team that collapses in February or hits their stride in February?
