Sterling Gibbs just punched Arcidiacono in the face. He will probably be suspended for our game. It was obvious flagrant 2. Straight out punched/elbowed him and should be suspended.

Assault and battery. You pull that crap on the street and you better call Saul and be ready to post bond.

BE needs to come down hard on this garbage, but with CO as precedent, they might not. Are they going to wait for a Kermit Washington / Tomjanovich incident? Seriously, is this the NCAA or MMA?
 
What is wrong with these kids? (and I'm talking about both the Obekpa and Gibbs scenarios)

First, this is not the act of a winner. Second, don't they understand that there are cameras everywhere. Even if you don't get caught right away, the league can review videotape. Its just dumb.
 
I used to root for them but the Tiny situation, plus their fans, have changed that. I went to the New Years Eve game and their fans were annoying as hell. Only Providence's have been worse this year.

I was at the New Years Eve game also Rob. I agree with 100%. The SH fans are extremely annoying. I think we should put Pointer on Whitehead. Sir Dom will shut him right down! I also agree with the poster who said, all the NY kids on the SH team will come to play. If we don't continue to bring our A game and play with the sense of urgency that we have been, we can get beat.
 
Seton Hall fans don't think Gibbs will wear a SHU uniform again (nor do they want him to). Hopefully this helps with recruiting his brother as SHU has always seemed like a favorite for him.

Even though his elbow was worse than obekpas, Gibbs took responsibility immediately whereas Chris did not. I'd say it's 50/50 whether he plays against us

It'd be hard to imagine this doesn't go unpunished. It's just too egregious an act while the other player is unprotected on the floor. It's good that he apologized right away, but he'll still have to be suspended.
 
These kind of threads make me not feel bad for seton hall and their collapse. Their fans are ridiculous

This was not a moving elbow against a guy on the move! His team was down over 25 points, the game was over and he closed his fist and went for Arci's head while he was on the floor. Not even close to Obekpa's elbow. This was assault and battery. I see a 3 game suspension and Whitehead is happy now that he will be the man.

@TroyMachir: Jay Williams says NCAA should suspend Sterling Gibbs for the remainder of the season.
 
I hope Lavin makes sure to tell the team to keep its cool against Seton Hall.
