Around the Big East

David Duke hiring an agent and entering the NBA Draft.

I was told by this board he was a sure bet to return and try to improve his draft position from first round to higher in first round as a Senior.

Bust

Swider transferring is surprising.  I thought he was perfect for the Nova system.  Thus far, his performance hasn't met his ranking, but next year could have been big for him.

I just don't see it with him at the next level.

Not at all. He’s not half the player Kris Dunn was for them IMO. He’s a good player with extreme advantages athletically and physically over college guards, who played close to 40 minutes and accumulated a lot of stats on a mediocre team. Would love him at sju but don’t see nba in his future.

Agreed. I watched him a lot this season. What he has going for him is NBA size and athleticism. He also looks silky smooth. But to me it ends there. I never saw him dominate or take over any games. He was also very passive all season.

I get he wants to return to college basketball but are you trying to tell me not every player has to transfer? /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

Here are some transfer names I accessed from another site:

Xavier -  Griffin, Carter, Ramsey, Tandy, Wilcher

Providence -  Gantt, Monroe, Nichols, Duke*

DePaul -  Salnave, Hall, Lopez, Elvis, Edwards

Creighton -  Bishop, Canfield

Villanova -  Swider

G'Town - Wahab

Uconn - Carleton, Adams

Marquette -  McEwen, Torrence

Seton Hall -  Moulson

Butler -  Hastings

This list is probably changing as I type this..

Curious why these kids are deciding to come back for a 5th year. They love college? They want an advanced degree? They are not interested in making money? Cale seems like someone who could have got an overseas gig this year.

Like Dunn entering portal, perhaps the overseas opportunities are not plentiful currently

Chris Lykes did the same thing wrt Dunn. Literally days after Larranaga announced Lykes was going to explore pro options he put his name in the portal.
