Around the Big East

I'd more say that Duke regressed over the second half of the BE season. Halfway through I thought he was one of favorites for BE player of the year but he and rest of team slumped badly toward the end. He did have his best year in terms of scoring, rebounds and assists and I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back with something to prove given the unsatisfying end to the team's and his season.

Would be surprised if David Duke doesn't come back and PC will be getting a commitment from 4 star guard Jayden Epps tomorrow. Expecting the Friars to bounce back strong next year
David Duke has been a projected first round NBA pick all season. He's not coming back, why do people think he will stay?

Maybe the same reason Kris Dunn came back, to have a great season and increase his draft stock even higher.
David Duke is 21 and will be 22 at the start of next season. If he's guaranteed to be a first round pick, he won't be back. How many kids who are projected as first round picks come back to try and improve their slot even higher? That's unheard of. If anything, coming back for a year will hurt his ranking because the NBA is all about potential, and SRs rarely are drafted in the first round.

ESPN has him at 65.  NBADraft.net has him at 24.  Pretty broad range of opinions.  Sounds like he has some thinking to do.

If Ed Cooley was shopping for veteran help for his Providence Friars next season, he certainly hit the jackpot. The Friars made their move into the transfer portal Tuesday and secured the services of Al Durham, who will play a fifth season of college basketball in the Big East. Durham is a grizzled veteran of the Big Ten wars as a two-time captain at Indiana who started 97 of the 123 games he played in for coach Archie Miller. Durham is a 6-4 guard from Lilburn, Ga., who cracked the 1,000 point mark (1,035) in his career.

How does Providence keep reeling in these types of kids?  They land their share of 4-star talent.  Of course we beat their pants off this year a couple of times,  but  still waiting for us to grab some more highly ranked kids at some point.  Would have liked to have one more stud recruiter next to Van Macon on the bench.

Also “recruited”  Watson and Horchler to return. Crap season seems to have lit a fire under Cooley

I just assumed CMA and staff were just sitting around looking at all 1000 or so names in the transfer portal and wondering how nice it would be to get one or two or more. But what do I know?

Aren't you the guy that sent me a series of private messages to say something to the effect that "bickering with another poster was hurting readability" or something like that after someone came at me?  But you are free to just insult other posters as you please?  Do as I say not as I do I guess...

I am sorry that the subtlety of my variation on "please don't spam the site by posting the same thing over and over again" (which btw is a violation of the site rules) escaped you.

Also, one post does not a "back and forth" make.  We expect discussion and disagreement.  Going back and forth about "who's the bigger jerk," or going out of your way to "cc" a poster to troll or provoke them, is an entirely different matter.

If you don't like the rules or the moderation there are other places you can post, but trying to troll the mods is not really the way to go here.

There are just a lot of rules in here so want to make sure I am following them all.  It would be a helpful example if the moderators themselves are also following them.

As expected;
UConn Huskies sophomore guard James Bouknight is entering the 2021 NBA Draft and plans to hire an agent, Bouknight tells ESPN.

Strange that she couldn't/wouldn't wait to be knocked out or be national champs. What kind of money do first rounders earn?

NC kid with talent and time to develop, nice pickup for Keatts.
