Im not sure if its his funky name, the one miracle season he had a VCU etc, but Smart is the most overrated coach in college basketball.

109-86 overall, 52-56 in the Big 12, zero NCAA wins in the Big 12.  So, yeah.  Hopefully he does well at Marquette, it's good for the league to have lots of good teams.

Edit - sorry, just saw this was already posted by faster hands.

This is the equivalent of saying Porter Moser is hot because he made the Final 4 once.  Shaka Smart made 5 straight trips to the NCAA's at VCU.  That is not easy to do.  Porter Moser after some very poor seasons has now won or shared 3 MVC regular season titles and 1 2nd place finish in the last 4 years.  Those are what bigger programs look for not that somehow one lucky run to the Final Four will automatically translate to Final Four at school X.  They want program builders and the ability to sustain success.

Mike Anderson made the NCAA's 3 times in 8 years at Arkansas with some pretty mediocre years otherwise.  I think Shaka Smart underachieved at Texas and he would probably agree.  But I think Mike Anderson especially towards the end did at Arkansas as well.  It happens.  It does not mean he is bad coach.  And there is no evidence he is jumping from job to job...

If you click the red return arrow that comes up on the right UNDER a quoted post then it puts your reply under it, instead of over it.  That makes it easier to follow who you're replying to (or who's replying to who about what if it becomes a multiple-quote situation).  Plus, the suspense is a killer waiting to see who you're replying to!  LOL.

If you're working off a phone then it is pretty much impossible to make that work, though.  At least I haven't been able to do it with my Android.  In that situation I usually put a few spaces under the quote I'm replying to and type from there.  It isn't awesome, but maybe better than sort of "reverse posting."

The current interface definitely leaves something to be desired on the "quote" front.

Realistically , Wojo did not have a terrible tenure at Marquette . This year was poor , although they did beat NC near the end of the  season                         I think MU fans fell off his bandwagon when the Hauser Bros transferred    Ostensibly due to Howard having the green light to put it up whenever he wanted . Sometimes 30 times a game or close to it .  Wojo will land somewhere , maybe not this year but , after a year or 2 as Asst. , he will find work .  DePaul should hire him , they could and have done worse .     The Hausers ?                            Both are home agree Mich State and Virginia losses in Tourney . Both are very good Secondary role players .  Interesting if Smart gets Theo John’s back for his 10 the Season at Marquette.

Wojo was 59-68 in the BE and 0-2 in the NCAA in 7 years. Can’t say they didn’t give him a chance.

Would be surprised if David Duke doesn't come back and PC will be getting a commitment from 4 star guard Jayden Epps tomorrow. Expecting the Friars to bounce back strong next year

Nice get, combo guard

Jayden Epps, the No. 64 overall prospect in the 2022 Top150, has committed to Providence, he tells @247Sports.

Providence is going to be tough next year if they return Watson, Horschler and Duke.  Experience matters.

Butler is another program that will benefit from that, in all likelihood.

David Duke has been a projected first round NBA pick all season. He's not coming back, why do people think he will stay?

Maybe the same reason Kris Dunn came back, to have a great season and increase his draft stock even higher.

I thought Duke was really underwhelming this year.  Instead of going forward from last year he regressed significantly.  Would not surprise me at all if he comes back to improve his draft stock, especially with other players returning to put him in a better position to shine.  He'd be in the conv for BE POY pre-season, I would think
