Around the Big East

Just heartbreaking about UCONN loss (not). I'm rooting for the Stanford women's team to beat Zona for a third time tomorrow.

Love it when the bully who relishes beating lesser teams by 60 all season meets a team on their level and sticks it to him. I saw the UA coach in the team huddle celebration after the victory hold up her middle finger and mouth and expletive probably directed at Uconn.

I am pretty sure that was directed at the media who wrote them off and the NCAA who didn't even put them in the Final Four video.

I don't know anyone else's thoughts, but Wahab leaving Georgetown and ending up at Maryland leaves like a lateral move to me. Either way, that doesn't reflect well on Ewing or the Big East.

I liked Denzel's game, but unless he develops a much more consistent shot and better handle, it's gonna be tough for him to stick with a team. I think that an extra year at Creighton (or wherever) could have helped him immensely,

His last 12 or 13 games were forgettable.  I'm gonna assume he's not gonna hire an agent.
Good assumption Dink :)

BIG news out of Storrs. Isaiah Whaley is one of the best defensive players in the Big East, and averaged 8.0 PPG/6.2 RPG this past season. He’ll use his extra year of eligibility and be back for Dan Hurley and the Huskies, as Dom is reporting.
