I don't really agree, to be honest. Davis was an All-American and ACC POY. They won the regular season title and made it to the Sweet 16. Davis was the man on that team and is now playing his fifth year with them. Expectations were that he would carry them as a Final Four contender. Torvik had them in the preseason at number five!!! There's no change of scenery excuse for him. Lurking in the Trilly discord at that time, it was also clear he sucked UNC's NIL almost dry himself. He was a preseason All-American this year and probably a favorite to win national player of the year.

Now? UNC is barely a bubble team. Davis' stats have perked up because of these last few games but he's had total clunkers against their top teams. The team is a total mess.

I get that all three of the guys you mentioned have had less impact and their stats are considerably worse. But disappointing wise? Davis takes the cake.

Throwing Book R under bus aside, Miller is really an excellent HC & addition to the Big East w a keen sense of hoops history as well.

We aren't perfect but neither are our opponents. The fact that we continue to be on the wrong side of the whistle in every game is absurd. Maybe it's because the refs are sending Hurley a message. Maybe it's because we're flirting with other conferences. Regardless, it's a joke. The sooner...

FWIW, big UConn WBB fan and every game that have lost since their last championship In 2016 has been because of the refs according to a core of diehards on their Boneyard site.
 
Since Freemantle returned Xavier is 4-1 in the Big East against everyone other than SJU and 0-2 against SJU. Two of the four are wins against Marquette and UConn. I expect the two wins SJU pulled off to continue to increase in value as the season goes on.

The reason his crowd was not like that against St. John’s was cause the Johnnies toothe game early and never let them back in. Sure they had a few runs but never got close enough to where the fans believed they would come back. Kudos to our staff and team for that game.
