Around the Big East

Not to go down this rabbit hole but

A) Karaban is actually having a pretty damn good season so far.

B) Davis’ numbers are down some because UNC doesn’t have anybody close to the gravitational pull that Bacot had, but he’s far from the biggest disappointment in the country this year.

Off the top of my head I’d say Coleman Hawkins, AJ Storr and Johnell Davis clear both of those guys by a pretty large margin.
I don't really agree, to be honest. Davis was an All-American and ACC POY. They won the regular season title and made it to the Sweet 16. Davis was the man on that team and is now playing his fifth year with them. Expectations were that he would carry them as a Final Four contender. Torvik had them in the preseason at number five!!! There's no change of scenery excuse for him. Lurking in the Trilly discord at that time, it was also clear he sucked UNC's NIL almost dry himself. He was a preseason All-American this year and probably a favorite to win national player of the year.

Now? UNC is barely a bubble team. Davis' stats have perked up because of these last few games but he's had total clunkers against their top teams. The team is a total mess.

I get that all three of the guys you mentioned have had less impact and their stats are considerably worse. But disappointing wise? Davis takes the cake.

I respect him for these comments. He's a great coach and initially I thought he'd bolt for the first power conference job available. But his understanding and appreciation of the history of Xavier and Cincinnati basketball is admirable.
Throwing Book R under bus aside, Miller is really an excellent HC & addition to the Big East w a keen sense of hoops history as well.

If anyone is interested in a good laugh. Read this thread from the boneyard.

FWIW, big UConn WBB fan and every game that have lost since their last championship In 2016 has been because of the refs according to a core of diehards on their Boneyard site.

The obvious is now official:
