Around the Big East
HALF | Marquette leads Xavier 34-33.
I’m watching all these Big East games as I’m sure everyone else is also to some extent, but we better get our shit together fairly quickly or we will get pounded in more of these games.
Looking like a last place team sadly
I’m watching Xavier vs Marquette and these teams can play. Not only are they skilled but the energy and intensity they bring is at a high level. We really need to up our game to have a chance against these teams.

What an end to X vs. Marquette

Kunkel game winning 3 at buzzer right after McKewen on M. hits a nasty step back three to tie it up

It was a great game. Seems like there are seven very good conference teams, a cut above SJU, DePaul, G'town, and Butler. Xavier has at least five transfers on their roster, and they are all contributors.

McQuenn and Kunkel both hit clutch shots down the stretch . Kunkel game winner a gem ., Another Xavier drop dead shooter . They always seem to come up with these spot up guys .Shooting is the game today .

Xavier plays transfer game as well as anyone. Kunkel is one of those Kentucky high school bred kids who just understands the game and a scorer. Belmont, his last stop, is also a quality program that produces basketball players, not just athletes.

It was a DAY in the Big East. 3 great games.

Nate Watson or Bouknight for player of the day? Bouknight was lights out, but I might take Nate, playing against Mamu and Obiagu and getting it done anyway.

Nate, especially because they won. He really is in great shape.

Play where he bulled Mamu off the court in the post and scored said it all. Nate played a man's game today.

The stars are aligning for Georgetown to start an ascent in 2021. The Hoyas’ recruiting class is now in the Top 25 nationally:

5-star guard Aminu Mohammed
4-star center Ryan Mutombo
3-star guard Jordan Riley
3-star guard Tyler Beard
3-star forward Jalen Billingsley

Ugh... SJU going to have to start landing some PTP’ers sooner rather than later because the Big East is stocking up on some beastly recruits.

Per 247, their class is rated #6....

Couple of points I made several months ago wrt Georgetown and Ewing..

1) After last year Ewing was on a 2 yr plan. Hold on thru this tough year and land a big time class to combine with leftover pieces from this year and make a HUGE jump.

2) Those who think Georgetown name no longer has cache in recruiting think again. They have done nothing in recent years and yet with a number of NATIONAL kids they are still listed. How is that so? I said this before Georgetown believes they should take a back seat to no one in the BE. Again Goodman's poll a few year's ago on best job rankings Georgetown NOT Nova was the best.

Well we have matched 3/5 of the Georgetown class with our three 3 star recruits now all we have to do is sign a 4 and a 5 star recruit and we're even. :)
