Around the Big East

Watching X v. Creighton...

Doesn't seem we are even close to being in same league with either of them.

Both really good...and truly deep.

Source: The Big East is expected to announce new dates for all rescheduled games at some point today.

St John's makeup games

Jan 18 - at UConn
Feb 10 - at Butler
Feb 23 - at Villanova

Enjoyed watching Creighton - Xavier. Two solid teams who were brutal from the field today belying their BE leading offensive stats.
Xavier has picked up Stanley, a transfer from Hampton, who looks like he will be a solid contributor for them as the year goes on.

At the very last play Kunkel had another chance to be the hero with a last second three pointer to tie the game.  He missed, and what I thought was a really nice gesture was that Scruggs went right over to him and put his arm around his shoulder and said a few words of encouragement.  Nice move by the senior.

Seton Hall 78, Georgetown 67. Myles Cale with 30 points and Jared Rhoden with 26.

As the season goes on, and as we hopefully improve, that OT loss to Gtown is really going to stick in our craw. Such a bad loss.

So Wahab outscored AND outrebounded Mamu and Obiagu COMBINED.

I did not see that one coming.

OTOH the Hall's backcourt lit up Georgetown, and that part was predicable.

One thing I've noticed with Mamu, is that when he struggles offensively, whether a small stretch, half or game, he let's it get to him, becomes visibly frustated and his whole game suffers.

Amina Mohammed joins Georgetown. So much for Ewing's demise as he joins Jordan Riley and Mutumbo's son next year Big East gets tougher and tougher

Nothing like a Gtown lands a big time recruit to end the Yuletide joy feelings :)
