Around the Big East

Posh is gone, but the Posh-bashing persists. Isn't last night's triple double enough to shut some of you up? The circumstances of his departure are cloudy, but when he says he "didn't feel wanted" I tend to believe him. His track record for truth-telling is better than, for example, Rick Pitino's. I'm all in on our current guys, but allowing Posh to leave was Rick's biggest karmic and strategic mistake. A new coach, even a Hall Of Famer, ought to have a little humility, and not fire kids who have spent three years with us, developing relationships, loyalties, etc. I expect either Posh or Kolek to be the first team All Big East PG.....
Thought Posh gave it his all here, wish him well, but Kolek is superior PG imo.

I've seen Will Wades name and my question is, can he actually coach? Everyone can pay players now, so unless he is the type of personality that can raise NIL he isn't going to out recruit anyone else these days.
getting players these days is part of the battle - and that's something DePaul hasn't been able to do in decades.

I liked Posh a lot but there is no comparison whatsoever between him and Kolek.

I love Posh as much as anyone and wanted to keep him, but after reading this post I'm going to assume you're related to Posh.

I’m simply daring to question the wisdom of Rick’s decisions; A. J. Storr, for example, is the leading scorer for Wisconsin, currently a top 25 team….

Storr wanted more money than Rick had to offer at that time and had one foot out the door at season’s end. Bad timing but the decision was Storr’s, as I understand it

Watched the clip of Posh and it wasn't clear to me whether he was talking about Anderson or Pitino. Maybe it was a combination of both. Wish he was still here, but I'm not privy to exactly what went down between him and Pitino.

I’ll say this as plainly as I can. Posh, Storr and even Wusu would have been valuable pieces for this team, and should have been kept. Something was wrong with their attitudes? You’re a Hall Of Fame coach, CHANGE IT, for Christ’s sake! Don’t fire kids who’ve already given years of their life to this University.
Enough already. Let’s move on from this and BEAT WEST VIRGINIA!

Disagree especially regarding Wusu for reasons that those in the know, know why.

Wusu assaulted someone at practice. But hey, let's try to change his attitude.😁

Taylor and Luis are both better players by the way.

Dana Altman would be a solid choice for DePaul. I know he's on the older site and hasn't been as successful in the last couple of years, but his floor is probably what Thad Matta's is at Butler.
Wouldn’t he be replacing his former top assistant?

Storr was offered the chance (widely reported that he was added to the list after the protist of Soriano and Drissa) to return but what he was looking for in NIL was not something we were willing to do and he decided to go elsewhere.

Posh also had a chance to stay but decided he didn’t want to do what it took to stay, so he walked on his own.

Wusu attacked a Team Manager and was gone regardless as the school administration pulled the plug on him before Pitino signed his contract.

Could we have used the first two, sure but each of them made they their choice.

On the personal side, did you use to be Storm Cloud on the old board?

No, I’d like to be Stormcloud but I misspelled it when registering, and have never been able to figure out how to fix it! But I love this board, and treasure being part of this community. Part of me will always be at a corner table at Dante’s, not far from Louie and his two OLDER SISTERS!

I don’t know what to make of this, but your post read as if you were on the verge of popping a few blood vessels and then your last line just implores everyone to move on.

Holy transition Batman.
