PC not looking good so far. Down 15 with about 10 to go. However, as much as I don’t like Cooley, I seem to have remembered talking about them last year. People writing them off. Somehow he finds a way to get his team to play for him. He’s a good coach. They’ll improve as year moves on is my guess.

Is "hyperbole" your middle name?

We've already seen results all over the place, so hard to read into anything this early (this applies to us as well). Providence has a talented veteran group, and I think they are a lock NCAA tourney team (assuming we have one). As others pointed out, last year they were mediocre to bad during the OOC and yet played well in conference. Expect the same until proven otherwise.

They always seem to be breaking in a new point guard and start out unimpressively, but that will change.

All that matters is SJU this year: The league will be close this year. While most years i always root for Big East teams in the OOC, this year is different because the ooc could be what gets a team moving on.

While well-coached, Seton Hall not impressing me. They have a few good parts, but coaching is strong point. Beatable team with nobody near Powell in sight.

I know no Aiken but I called Seton Hall being very overrated. They stink. And when they had Aiken he was bad. Having Whitehead then Powell can make many coaches look better than they are.

I can't believe how many so called experts assumed Aiken would come in and instantly replace Powell. He is a once in a decade or more player for them. One of the best ever in their program history. With him gone, Aiken was unimpressive when he played and no one else comes close to producing offensively at that level. I know it's early, but they cannot shoot. Teams are going to pack paint and force them to perimeter bricking all day.

You really do make me laugh. That's important these days.

'When they had Aiken he was bad'

You mean the 8 minutes he played this year he was bad?

Yup! I said he was not going to be Powell if healthy and he is very injury prone. I know Hall came storming back here, but they do not impress me. Think they end up finishing 7th or so.

The hall looked better the second half. They’re a pretty disciplined team so in the end they really picked it up. Very few players that instill fear except a big Mamu who’s skilled and can shoot. Defend well, run and can win against them
