Around the Big East

A couple of takeaways from UCONN/NOVA. Uconn did not look pretty but they are tough even when they ate not great.

Nova is almost back. Seriously they are very close and will be a top 5 BE team this year. Bank on it.
If Moore comes back close to 90% they will have the best 5 man lineup in the league

And to think, just a short while ago there were posters on this site who put down Nova and mocked Kyle Neptune. One only need to got back to pages 198 to 200 on this thread to see as such. I would take him and his staff in a heartbeat over our current situation.

Georgetown has now lost 23 straight BE regular season games, 0-19 last year, 0-3 this year, and finished 20-21 regular season with a loss to UCONN. Last BE regular season win March 2, 2021 vs Xavier.

But it is actually worse than that their last BE win with people in the stands was February 15, 2020 against Butler.

Contemplate that for a second. That is astounding.

Epic blunder on Georgetown to bring back Ewing, tonight's loss was against Depaul one of their winnable games.

Providence picking up steam with 20 point road win at Butler.

I really think Georgetown is hoping Ewing does the honorable thing and steps down.

But if not they have zero choice they need to pull the plug. And probably before New Year's.

This is not bad this is a disaster for a really proud program.

Like Goodie said DeGoia in an impossible spot. Does not want to fire him and is probably hoping he quits. But at so e point he will have no choice.

It's better for us if the Georgetown AD is too afraid to fire Ewing in season. Don't want them getting a three-month lead in finding a new coach if our mini-nosedive becomes a season-long one.
True but l think we can all assume their search has officially started. St. John’s may or may not know what their decision will be until the season is over. Even still I hope we’re getting prepared one way or the other.

I feel really bad for that program and fan base. They probably wish they had our problems!
