Around the Big East

Providence looking solid. Seton Hall plays tough but ugly on offense. Shaheen’s teams look more like SJU now, playing rock ball than the Willard teams.

Seton Hall still plays very slow and with a defensive first approach just like Willard IMO.

Wow…. Seton Hall screwed by NO CALL. After a violation a player who inbounds the ball is not allowed to move both feet but on their last posession , the Xavier player was jumping around prior to inbounds pass and the refs are their whistles.

You're allowed a 3 foot box to move on all sides on an inbounds pass. I think the guy stayed within that box so it was a good no call

I just watched the replay and judging by the inbounders movement I believe he may have exceeded that space but if it was close, no way does a visiting team get that call in that last seconds situation.

Close Big East games will come down to end game plays and which coach/team has the most reliable go to guy(s).
No way to even predict any outcomes reliably because even a reliable guy misses shots 50% of the time. But I like having Soriano, Jones, Curbelo, taking the last shot or Posh creating for aforementioned guys. I’d believe in Mathis too !

As inconsistent at times that Curbelo has been early on, IMO he has already shown to be that guy. Last year Champ was supposed to be but it never materialized.

Agree 100%, I trust Curbelo to win a game anytime . His outside shot is better than I expected and his driving skills are superior! Boy are we fortunate to have him, warts and all!

KenPom has the Johnnies losing the next 4 games; losing 5 of the next 6.

lets home KenPom has his metrics wrong on his calculation.
To be fair though he gives us a 49%, 43%. 47%, and 41% chance in each of those games. Would essentially project us to go 2-2 in those, don't think we can do worse than 2-2 and expect a tourney run is in the cards
