Around the Big East

On the distaff side of things it was announced that super soph Paige Beckers will return to play for UCONN this Friday after being out following surgery. The opponent...why St. John's of course. Appears the St. John's women's team suffers from the same bad karma as the men's team. LOL

I did a quick look a few weeks ago, and I think the only teams to ever go winless in Big East was Providence during inaugural season who went 0-6, later on and Miami who went 0-18.

Respect what Cooley has done at PC now in his eleventh year. That said, in that span he has won one NCAA T game. Having such a good season deserves kudos, but he really has to have some Dance success this year.

Watching how Marquette is closing out this game against Butler makes me envious.   I wish that’s how our guys closed out those close games that went down to the end that we lost.

Morsell is so good. Fits a Shaka team like a glove.

Especially with all of the 5th year seniors. Unless he kills it in the portal, next year could be a slog for PC. Although, Cooley always seems to find a way to remain half way competitive

Wow.....I didn't realize it was just one tournament win.  That includes a first round loss in 2015 as a #6 seed (lost to #11 Dayton).  He really does need to get out of the 1st round this year.

Hall just looks like a much better team than Xavier beating them handily at Xavier. I suspect Big East will only get 6 into dance unless someone other than Nova, PC, UCONN, Creighton, Marquette or Hall wins BET. Maybe if we were to win our last 3 and get to Big East Final we'd have a shot but I'm not counting on that happening.

Have to hand it to Willard, like him or not. Seton Hall loses Aiken, a PG who scores, they play a tough out of conference schedule, falter a bit, but gather themselves when it counts. To me, one of his better coaching jobs this year.

The Hall was clinical in the last 12 minutes while X imploded down the stretch big time.  Sloppy play and the tech on Scruggs.  Hope they don't turn it around on Wednesday./media/kunena/emoticons/unsure.png

I think Xavier keeps Steele around for another year.  He has the 15th ranked recruiting class (2nd ranked in the Big East), including three 4-star freshmen.

That said.....seat will be hot.
